I wouldn’t go that far…id say 500 easy, slightly more using a deadlift bar.

Maybe after the thaw.
Looking good; glad to see your ‘getting back’ as you said.

Your boy’s pulling is improving fast.
Now is a great time for you to bottle and sell the tap water from your house
to folks like me.
Ugh on the weight cut for pup two- I COULD NOT WAIT for extra allowances.
I even remember having a dual meet the night before a tournament ( sucks) to get another pound.
as for your training - its looking stout.
I do say you need to post your deadlift numbers.
this is an old broken dry fart forum.
I have posted my 225 x 5 on bench while wearing a sling shot.
I have even posted my 185x5 on bench with same sling shot.
lateral raises with 7.5 lbs yes I have typed those words.
read those three sentences again
its not so bad.
looking solid all the same
Hmm…Dont expect a discount rate ![]()
If only…
I still feel the 152 class isnt the best for him
HELL NO I refuse to post my Dead training numbers until
- I have purged all the subconscious information regarding "proper form" and get back to instinctively pulling with the form I use to use before I started to over thinking the shit.
- Lost a ton of strength this past summer from the whole right hip thing… which is just now starting to see improvement.
Besides my self esteem wont let me post crap numbers ![]()

Bench: 265 x 3 Sons Bench is slowly improving …But not at the rate I expected.![]()
I think bench is the one lift that improves with age. He may eventually catch up to you but it won’t be anytime soon.
Your right…it should improve as he gets older. I just unfair expectations based on what I was doing at his age.
Can’t compare your bench. There aren’t a lot of guys who hit 400+ in their lives.
Hmm…my bad

Standing OHP (swiss Bar) worked light …top set 95 x 15
Close grip Bench: 3 x 5 - 8 @ 240 easy
Reverse grip Pull downs: 5 x 8 @ SW
Arm curls : EZ curl bar 5 x 8 @ SW
Bench Sit ups: 3 x 10 @ SW
punch the clock session…
Awesome log man! Keep doing your thang!
Thanks you. ![]()
Warm up : 7 minute walk treadmill
some mobility stuff
Squats: bunch of warm up sets
340 x 5
385 x 3
430 x 6…ehh should have just stuck with my pre planned cap of 3, last three reps where just slow moving. Not really grinders but just slow .
After the last set I notice a slight twinge where the glute and hamstrings tie in on the right side. Decided to play it safe and skip doing anymore that might involve that area possibly. Needless to say I skipped a back off set and doing any lunges. Basically relyed on experiance controlled my ego and…
Besides ego heals a hell of allot faster than soft tissue.
Standing Band crunches: 5 x 10
Band abductions : 3 x 20
Decent session… not crap but nothing to write home about.
I had that exact same injury on the same leg. Took about 8 weeks but it finally went away on its own. The only thing I did was try to roll it with the rumble roller each night but it is a tough spot to get to.
Luckily…I dont think I injured it,probably would if I pushed it more.
Nice squats in spite of the twinge. I find using my lacrosse ball for rolling my hammies sitting on a hard chair does wonders. I roll it side to side in sections from near the ass to the knee and do bouncing in different areas for deep tissue work: always with a ton of pressure. You can really dig in and feel the pain and the relief. Good healing to you sir.
