Bulldog: Working on regaining man card

It took me awhile to figure what the heck was up with the whole cake thing…

THANK GOD…Hammie just slightly sore from yesterday, No sign of a major issue!

Did allot of mechanical work on a machine at work today …was working from a odd position and irritated my right shoulder. So decided im just going to walk on the hamster wheel and do my pressing Thursday.

Two things regarding the oldest…

i was wrong he didn’t make the deans list his first semester like I stated…NOPE He made the presidents list (didn’t know they had that) with his 4.0 and he is listed as a Sophomore thanks to all the college credit he took in High school .:grinning: Am I bragging? FUCK YEAH :smiling_imp:

Number 2 putting the little shit back on the platform on March 18 at the NASA Indiana State Meet. Starting next week tweaking his programming for a quick 5 week peaking cycle.

Gunning for these numbers at the moment

405 squat… ehh probably too low now that he has widen his stance and isn’t going ATG like he did in his last Meet.

305 Bench… probably on the money at this point.
505 Dead,He could pull it now if he wanted with no issue.

His spring break isn’t until the last week of the month…besides its not like hes going anywhere. At least not on my dime.

It occurs to me I probably talk more about my kids than anyone else ever has on these forums.

In reality I cant call them kids anymore… more like young men. Which the wife is having a VERY hard time coming too grips with.

Bench: 325 x 1
5 x 8 @ 285… took my time between sets wanted to complete the full amount of reps

Incline bench: ( swiss bar) 3 sets 50 reps total @ Sw
Lying Tri extensions (swiss bar) 2 x 10-12 @ SW
Arm curls: Skipped… pulling Friday didnt want to pre fatigue biceps
Pull aparts: 3 x 35 (doggy style)

Backing off on the intensity for awhile in favor of some volume to give my shoulder a break. Plan on staying at the current weight range on bench and milk the hell out of it for several weeks until it gets ridiculously light.

The more I think about it…not sure what the hell to expect on Dakotas Bench in the next Meet!!!

At the moment hes up 18lbs over what he was and has added more mass to his upper body. Having him bring his log home this weekend and get a general feel for what his current base level strength is on Bench , before I run him through the mill peaking him out.

Schedule has been messed up the past few days dealing with relocating my elderly mother into elderly apartment complex… things hopefully will be back to normal somewhat for myself.

Well got Bullpup programmed for the next five weeks leading up to the meet.

Treadmill: 7 minutes (warm up)

SSBAR squats: 2 x 5 @ SW …notice a slight twinge in my right knee on my third set shut it down on these

Rack Pulls mid shin : worked up too a heavy single but not truly a Max… probably had another 30 or 40 lbs still in me. Still I blew past what I had pre planned for the day, Probably will crush it when I repeat this cycle.

RDL’s: 2 x 8-10 @ SW
Bent rows: 2 x 8 - 10
RG pulldowns : 5 x 8 @ SW

Honestly , Felt like dog crap all day and was tempted to skip it all. Sacked up and got some work done.

People reading this might freak out over the tittle because they dont know what it is referring to.

Recovery has it the WALL… Pretty much recovery has fallen over the cliff at the moment for several reasons.

  1. Not getting enough sleep… im averaging 6 hours a night
    2.Diet is sucking… Not eating enough quality nutrition to help with recovery…
    3 Even though i have not mentioned it been dealing with a slight med condition since late November( which is no longer a issue as of late) … This has taken a huge toll.

defiantly showing signs of under recovering… Which has been snow balling .

Realization is usually the first step to recovery.
