70
85
105
130 x 5
150 x 3
160 x 1…did 10
OK…last time for this for awhile since I have a general idea what my training maxes are.
185 x 1
205 x 1
225 x 1
250 x 1
275 x 1
300 x 1
315 x 3…this was stupid on my part and it was UGLY!!! See for yourself.

Band pull aparts: 5 x 10 super setted with Bench

DB rows 5 x 10 x SW
Axel Bar curls: 3 x 6-8 x SW

Bunch of PT work on left shoulder.

315x3 looked pretty good to me. You will be back over 400 by the end of the year.

well there was a few issues with it if you really look. Id say 400+ by the spring myself as long as the shoulder doesnt get pissed off. Also I need to but some lean tissue back on my arms, shoulder and upper back in that order.

Disturbed is my new favorite lifting music-helps get my crazed for the iron ā€œā€¦having some trouble dealing uh with these changes…dealing a with these changesā€¦ā€ Oh Yeah! Great benching.

Deads: a few warm up sets
5 x 2 x 330… Dynamic work
375 x 1
425 x 3… didnt feel like pushing it. had reps in the tank

Elevated stiff leg Deads: 5 x 10 x 215 … went conservative on these, bloody hell my glutes and hammies were cooked on the last set.

Side bends: 5 x 10 x SW

Well im still tweaking a few things. But at this point I got my programming pretty much lined up for the present. FYI no more doing anything close to a actual max weight.I plan on sticking with my current established training maxes and slowly rebuild back up to pre injury numbers.

I have concluded that I am done over analyzing the dead lift.Screw it!! Anyone who has read my my blog in the past that deads have become my bitch lift ever since I got back into lifting several years ago. When I was a kid (20) I never concerned myself with every little detail and my pulls were better. I just basically just pulled in a way that felt natural with no thought of anything else. I will quote a Jim Wendler article posted on this site.
Jimwendler wrote:

When my oldest son first saw me deadlift, he summed it up best: ā€œYou mean you just pick the barbell up?ā€ While that should have been my eureka moment, it wasn’t.

The simple fix I made to the deadlift is to just be aggressive and pull like your life depends on it. I know you wish I had some magic geometric equation of your shoulder position and hip position as it relates to the humidity, but I don’t.

Stare at the barbell, hate the goddamn thing, approach the bar, hold your air, and pull.
I have only been in the business of picking up barbells for close to a year, but I definitely agree. All of my best deadlift sessions are when I get pissed at the bar, stomp my feet, huff, puff, and rip it.

I just count on my body to put all of the little things together and it always seems to pull through. When I find myself focusing on certain cues or moving a particular way I can never seem to pull as well as I can when I just go animal style.

Now I want a steak.

Exactly!! the only lift that has benefited from me being over analytical of has been my squat. Dead I can say with certainty has suffered from it.

I still see big numbers climbing - even though you are being conservative

the dog pic face up is awesome.

Grip it and rip it! I’ve been having some success lately with letting all my breathe out while coming up from the bottom position of the dead. I don’t know yet if I will be able to use that for bigger lifts or comp lifts but the trial is going on.

100
120
130 x 5
150 x 5

150 x 5
130 x 10
Band pull aparts: 5 x 20 super setted with OHP

pull ups: we wont talk about them at the moment

Shrugs: 3 x 10 x 325
