Surprised you didn’t go with “Dead and bloated” for the song today.
Think ill go full ape shit and go for 15 on my plus set on the Trap bar tomorrow. I guess we will see if my cardiovascular system can hang.
Pray for me…
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen. (Taken from the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, 1662).
Trap bar deads: 70%x 3
80%x 3
90% x 3 plus…… got the 15.
Dead stop RDL : 3 x5 @ 80%
One arm Db rows: 25/3 TR 25
Called it…
Ok the last set with 15 pretty much blew my load. Ran out of steam midway through the session.
Decided to tweak my pull day starting next week.Going to drop the Dead stop RDL’s. Between GHR’S and reverse hypers the job is getting done through the week with those. Ill move a few extra sets of Trap bar deads in its place. Since i need more work off the floor.
Also drooping one arm dumbell rows in favor of Pendlay rows. The other reason im dropping the RDL’S at the moment.
FYI…. my posterior is COOKED today
Reverse hypers: 4 x 20 @ 25% of squat max…. Just restoration work.
Seated BTNP: 65% x 5
75% x 5
85% x 5
3x5 @ 75%
DIPS: 30/3 @ bw. TR 43…. Went ape on last set and cranked out 20.
NOTE: My dip style is very chest focus with a slight angle.
Neutral grip pullups ( alternated 3 different grip width) 50 total …was able to eliminate a set.
Tate presses: 30/3 TR: 36
Strap pushdowns: 35/3 TR 30… The dips and Tate presses cooked them.
The app upped my cals slightly again… wasn’t expecting that from the slight weight gain over the holiday. I at least expected to freeze it.
Part of the reason I cringe every time someone starting out mentions training for JUST “ Aesthetics “ is because its a genetic trait. Based on bone structure… muscle shape .. bodyfat distribution and a few other things. Might as well just focus on putting on muscle mass. The astetic part will work itself out. Either youll have the flavor of the month look or you won’t. JUST my humble opinion.
Are you saying that the aesthetics are genetic? If so, I agree. I have and have always had genetics that allow me to look good with some work. I was lucky enough to be born with the option for society’s ideal female body, and have been able to (kind of, as I don’t work as hard as I could) maintain a pleasing female aesthetic. That’s been combined, for me, with a love of movement and physical work along with a touch of OCD.
All genetic.
But the work to make the aesthetic really shine has been mine.
Yes too a certain extent. You can make improvements to a degree . Adding muscle mass lossing bodyfat . But certain aspects that lends itself to a certain envogue subjective aesthetic look falls into the genetic lottery. Thats how I tend too view it as unpopular it may be.
Probably why I personally get annoyed over those clavicle length threads.
Meaning that you can only do so much with what you are given?
Bro, I love you - you are so straight forward.
But, when you spell it astetic and then @EmilyQ spells it aesthetic, and then you spell it astetic again, it cracks me up.
Its called I need a proof reader.
Probably because im at the age that my give a damn is broken.
Exactly… at least regarding the subject at hand.
As long as we understand each other, who cares how it’s spelled? This is a training log, not 9th grade English class.
