** i decided to just do db rows and not mess with Pendlay rows. Between the Trap bar deads ( the handle are at the same height of a standard deads) the version of the RDL’s im using along with reverse hypers and squats. At this stage thats enough direct and indirect lower back work IMO.

Which i expected since taking a 2 day semi diet brake going into this phase on Sunday. Which had my bodyweight elevated from the sudden increase in calories during those days.
Well I lost 2 lbs since Sunday even at the new elevated caloric level it spit out. In response today it up the cals by 160 cals/day. Also it tabulated my Maintenance cals through the roof. Best guess that next Saturday ill probably gain more than pre set amount and it will readjust. Since is pretty much what happened the first 3 weeks when I started the lean out phase.
This is what is happening to me too. Lol. Got on the scale this morning and was like WTF? More calories for me. Woot! ![]()
I find the body tends to have a 2-ish week delay between input and output when it comes to nutrition. I’ll still be losing weight for a few weeks when I switch to gaining, and gain for 2 weeks after cutting calories.

Was on vacation today … decided to get a session in this morning. Was a big pussy and didn’t feel like lifting at 40 degrees so I fired up the heater.
Seated BTNP: 70% x 3

90% x 3 plus…. Did 10 with a ton of reps in the tank.
JOKERS: ( auto regulated call)

110% x 3
120% x 3… still reps in the tank.
3 x 5-8 @ 70%
Nutrual grip pullups: some
Close grip pulldowns: 3 x 8… doing these for extra work volume at a lower intensity
DIPS: 3 x 10 … time to bump these up for a 50 rep total
Ended up cutting the last 2 assistant movements due to a time restraint.
After weighing the pros and cons at this point. Decided its in my best intrest to go ahead and go back using my Elite SSbar for squatting.
Don’t know what that is, but I’m in full support.
