Hammer swings…8 rounds
30 minutes tread mill
Good news Dakota only has a bad high ankle sprang …4 to 6 week recovery period.
Glad to see your son will recover in short time.
That’s really good news. A broken ankle can cause all sorts of issues going forward. Glad Dakota dodged that bullet.
Definitely good news. I have a feeling that you are going to have to force him to let it heal.
^^ Thanks guys for the concern.
Did some PT stuff for the IT Band.
Treadmill 33 minutes
Skipped the HIIt conditioning just for today.
A few things…
Going to move the complexes to a different day and add a few things back in on the lifting days.
Started focusing on my nutrition this week…( hate the word diet) Have had no bread and pasta so far this week.

Then I guess I have you to thank for my going off the deep end and having Italian for lunch. Felt like crap afterwards. Just taking one for the team.
Hopefully you do better at no, really low carbs.

You had Itaalian??? BAD STRICK!!!
Regarding my eating plan. At this point im cutting carbs out past noon, except on lifting days where I have started taking in some carbs pre training. So far my carbs have come from rice, oatmeal and a little fruit. Now you can count I guess the small amount of carbs in my whey shake from the powder and the milk I use.

Deadlift: 5 x 3 x 80%
lunges: 5 x 10… actually use some weight
GHR: 5 x 10… since its been awhile I used a band for some assistance. Strangle on the last set I didnt
Bench sit ups : 5 x 10
Plan on doing some HIT conditioning Saturday and some steady state Sunday

Hammer swings : 8 rounds
Will bump it up to 10 next time… probably get a heavier hammer soon.
Since I implement my eating plan Im down 7 lbs… pretty much as I expected
Cheat meal tonight… bottle of my favorite beer pieace of cheese cake and some extra calories. But No bread and pasta.

Beer and cheese cake are the secret!? Wish I had known that sooner!
The first several pounds are the hardest to lose. Everyone says otherwise, since it is supposed to be water weight. But they forget that the hardest part of a diet (or eating plan) is actually starting it.

Yep beer and cheese cake the staple of any training table ![]()
I agree …for me committing to it is the first part, Once I do that mentally im good.
To be honest the hardest and biggest pain in my ass is doing all the food prep since im eating differently from the rest of the family and im not going to burden the wife to do it for me. In retrospect this week is allot easier then doing the Keto type plans I use in the past from time to time.
Do you roll your IT band on either leg with a foam roller or otherwise? I do this sometimes and it seems to do me a bunch of good. Hope you get all the weight loss your after and it looks like it’s working well.

No Foam…PVC baby. Foam doesn’t do it for me.
Bench: normal progression
290 x 3
310 x 3
345 x 3… hmmm energy level down. Felt heavier then it should have.
Lying bench DB rows: 5 x 10 x SW
Seated BNP: 5 x 10 x SW
Arm curls: 5 x 10 x SW
Ugh…trying to talk myself into doing some treadmill before bed.
Barbell complex: 3 rounds
Treadmill: 33 minutes

Getting it done.
And I actively try to avoid the treadmill, or any exercise, too close to bed…okay, I avoid the treadmill no matter what…but exercising that close to bed makes it hard for me to fall asleep.
Nice bench.
PVC, heck why just not use steel pipe? I like the rumble roller because the raised knots on it dig in a pleasant torturous way. Nice benching. Sometimes it’s difficult to keep up the higher numbers when you’re loosing weight.
