Bulldog: Working on regaining man card

Will agree with you on that we are going to pay for the smashing we impose on our bodies when we are a little older. I may be wrong but if we keep on lifting into the senior years we may be able to abate some of the hurt. That is the Cash song I was thinking of above.

Ok…back in the groove again. Started the whole thing back over since it got interrupted. Tweaked one thing with the conditioning mostly the 'complex " I borrowed from Paul Carter writing and going with a less extreme complex. Since at this stage of my conditioning its over kill. Other then that everything is the same as I planned out.

Bench: bar
95
135
185
225
255 x 5
290 x 5
330 x 5… so tempted to rep out more.

barbell complex; 3 x 8 x 95…went very conservative on bar weight

Bent row
Cleans
front squat
OHP
squat
GM’s

Two things…think im going to remove the cleans for a different movement due too my inability to ā€œrackā€ the weight properly due too mobility issues.
Second… on my next lifting day I plan on using a different complex on my squat/dead day.

Gotta go to GAL to see the hate flow. So many blowhards there. Folks in this neighborhood are good stock.

Looking forward to seeing you, Bulldog, in a few weeks.

Good to see you back at it. Iron is being moved!

The complexes are still scary.

Yeah between the blowhards… trolls and self appointed experts is why i tend not to wonder out of this neighborhood very often.

I would not say they are scary… SUCKS maybe. Especially when ones(whom shall remain nameless) conditioning hasn’t been addressed the way it should have been for awhile.

Sledge hammer & tire: 6 rounds
Tread mill: 30 minutes

For the recording Im using ā€œHITā€ and low intensity steady state cardio at this point as part of the conditioning phase.

More conditioning…
1.Bear hug carry
2.Trap bar farmer walk
3.Over head carry
Done in above order 50 yards each. Ran it 3 times

Sledge hammer & tire: 6 rounds
Tread mill: 30 minutes

Exciting shit !!

Squat: (buffalo bar) bar
95
135
185
240
285
315 x 5
360 x 5
405 x 3… Had a slight twinge on the third rep in the left hip. wasn’t going to aggravate it at this point since it just now feeling good.

Complex 3 rounds:

High pulls…a waste

Lunges… I ended up doing these with no weight. I havent done a single leg movement in along time.

Stiff leg deads
OHP
rows
swings

I cant bitch about the squats I havent done them in a few weeks since the bursa really fired up. Since im focusing on just maintaining strength at the moment i need to back the weight off and build back and play with my stance.

SHIT!!! Dakota got HURT!!! Both of my boys have been in Iowa for a wrestling camp this week.My wife contacted me at work that Dakota was at the ER in Iowa. During a match something went snap in his ankle. My wife was informed it could be a possible ligament tear in the ankle. Hes telling me by text he has several torn muscles… Wont know for certain until Tuesday morning when we take him take him to the same orthopedic center that did my shoulders. At the moment hes in a boot and wont be home until probably after midnight.

Good to see you getting some squatting in and sorry to see your son is injured. Hope he makes a quick recovery.

Oh my. I hope Dakota is okay. Jeez. That is bad news. Keep us posted.

Strong work. And it will come back the rest of the way.

Sorry to hear about Dakota. Those things happen, but it is never a good thing and never at an optimal time. Hopefully it is no as bad as it sounds.
Do let us know!

Gimp…

Hoping for the best for Dakota.

Will know something by this time tomorrow.

Seated behind neck press: bar
95
125
150
165x5
190x5
215x5… ugh no one to give a lift off
Complex 3 rounds
snatched muscle ups
lunges
Standing press
Good mornings
Horizontal pullups
Push ups

95 degrees at almost 100% humidity = SUCKS!!!

Yes…
100% humidity sucks. Of course, so do complexes and BNP without lift offs. Heck, BNP sucks by itself.
Despite all of the suckage, though, it got done.

In reality with the set up I have doing seated BNPs without a lift off is going to get me in a world of hurt when I go heavy.
