Honestly… maybe I’m just getting grumpy as I get older. But I’m finding it harder and harder to shed out a tear for some of the younger guys starting out. More specifically the ones who whines and cries about their perceived difficulties in making progress…
Here is why it gets under my skin.

They are young and in their physical prime with all the benefits that comes with it.

Much like above most don’t have a scratch on them. They are in mint condition with zero wear and tear to be found.

Most haven’t even scratched into their actual potential… they are untrained and pretty much anything they do will equal some form of improvement.

I notice allot of them don’t seem to have allot of real life obligations.

6 to 8 week breaking in period I mentioned is spot on. At least on the squats with the issue I need to address. Upper body wise nothing of any concern…knock on wood.
The main problem, IMHO. It seems like parents don’t give chores and it leads to a whole lot of nothing is expected. In general, I think it’s a pernicious form of child abuse, again, IMHO.

Yeah …I know when the boys were growing up. People were shocked they had chores to do. Like put up dishes… fold and put up laundry. As they got older the list grew …don’t understand the notion of not expecting anything from them

By setting a set number and preforming them in as many sets as needed . The progression was simple… the following week same number but in less sets. The dumb bastard I am I said what the hell…( did it when I was a kid) so I said FUCK lets do 50! Yep Im a dumb shit… got them in. But Im not going to lie allot of singles. The last 5 were a horror show. Yeah i will bet even money i will be awoken with massive cramps in my lats and upper back along with everything else involved.

I’m feeling it this morning
Wow…just wow. One of the members who I communicate with off this site regularly got into a short conversation.
It was regarding a individual that I have seen his name mentioned and in a negative light. Apparently he’s a self professed TRT expert. I honestly had no real Idea since i haven’t been in that section with any regularity…not in years. Some of terms i have seen used is arrogant ,self centered… asshole the list goes on.
My interests was peeked for some reason since I have honestly haven’t seen this individual on the training section forum. Or if he has I hadn’t notice or don’t exactly remember.

Now this is going to come off a shallow or even a little Bro on my end. Worst yet even ignorant on my end since making assumptions on this person’s knowledge based solely on the books cover. I don’t know this individual or have had interaction …just going on passing references I have seen and what I have been told now.
After seeing this individual pic all I could think was…
