ironically…my left shoulder agreeded with you the next day

Well Dakota couldn’t punch his ticket to State and it ended here at semi state.

Hopefully, he’ll have the chance to do better in the future.

yeah …I honestly think he has a fire in his belly now.

Wow it floors me over on the 5/3/1 forum… a guy ask a question Wendler answers it yet other guys want to add their 2 cents. Seriously?

i was worked up to 455 on sumo pulls tonight and was able to maintain proper form were shooting for. Still pulling from a slight elevation since the hip mobility isnt there yet.

Seated BNP: bar
95
135
160 x 5
185 x 5
210 x 11

Pulldowns: 4 x 10 x SW
DB rows : 5 x 10
Band pull aparts: 5 x 20

Well thats it…

New Secondary goal for years end … Seated Behind the neck press for a single with 315.

Nice sumo pulls. 315 BTN press makes my shoulders hurt thinking about it.

Ugh… not really Im still not getting the proper hang of the sumo. They just feel odd too me .

Well after I got the left shoulder done last year im finding that the BTNP feels pretty comfortable and isn’t bothering my shoulders at all. Plus I think they are helping with my shoulder mobility

Dakota starts lifting with me again Monday. Since my heating system is down at the moment in the garage Im taking him to the local Y. Now technically they prefer anyone under 17 needs to take their orientation before they use the free weights. Maybe i might being a rebel but I seriously cant see wasting Dakota or my time in doing that. Considering the person doing the orientation likely knows less about proper form regarding free weights then Dakota.

Wow… got my mitts on Bullpup again. wrestling season took a toll on him.

Good deal getting Dakota back in the gym, can’t wait for my son to get old enough to get series about lifting. No one is going to say anything to him at the Y with you coaching him.

I agree with you keep doing the BTNP’s if you can do them. I’m impressed that you have the mobility to do them after surgery.

Sounds like the Y has some kind of liability issue. Having the time and chance to train your son or with him is awesome.

  • I dont think anyone will say much of anything thing considering I see guys his age running around there unsupervised.

  • Well its taken some work to get my shoulder mobility too that point.

To be honest I question the actual qualification of the staff their to teach a arm curl …least of all a actual a more complex movement with good form.

OK a little behind two day report

Tuesday…

Squat: 5 x 5 x 370… going to rotate a heavy and light week on these since my current Dead lift days are set in stone and I am not in control of those days. hopefully it will help with recovery . I ended up lifting at the Y again… which was a bad idea since for what ever reason I bury my squats when I am there.

GM’s : 5 x 10 x 160…strict as always
ab wheel: a few sets

Wednesday

Bench: 2 x bar
95
135
160
200
240
260 x 5
300 x 5
340 x 9…hmmmm
3 x 8 x 260

Tate presses: 5 x 10 x SW
Arm curls: DGAF!!!
Band pull aparts: 5 x 20

That all…

Damn im getting lazy with my post… I need to actually proof read what I type.

340x9 wow. Looks like you are completely over the shoulder injury.

Your boy going to do another meet now that he’s back in the gym? Do you know he and my daughter play some online trivia game together? Ha!

Yeah … I would say that the shoulder is a 100% other then the range of external rotation which is improving but a slower rate.
