OH did I do something stupid!!! I had decided to squat at the local YMCA. First mistake I didnt factor in was the whip of the bars there since they dont have any stiff bars like a texas power bar. Not to mention it been awhile since I used a straight bar to squat with. Plus the rack is wider then mine so when I walked the last set out I shifted slightly to one side which cased the plates to smack the safety catches on my last heavy set as I dropped into the hole, which really messed with me mentally. IT DIDNT HELP that my hips were still sore from pulling sumo Friday!!!

Well its not like allot of people squat in the first place there. Besides most bars I find tend to whip slightly unless they are stiff say like a power bar. Only a handful I ever see doing them and most time they are high as hell without a huge amount of weight.
Ok I havent been posting the numbers on deads since at this point not allot of weight is being used since the focus is to dial in my form. set after set after set…
After deads my coach/friend was working shoulders and on a whim I joined in on some seated behind the neck press. Worked up to 245 x 3 …YEAH BABY.

No video anytime soon since its all form work over and over and over again. Im not allowed to move up in weight until my form is dialed in. When i mean dialed in im talking text book.
Its been a shit day… family issues almost burned down the Dog Pound just by luck it didnt happen.
I had planned on doing squats but after a few warm up sets I knew it wasn’t going too fly. Hips were angry… strangely not as bad as last week. But last week I pushed the issue and might have crossed the line. At any rate its been agreed that any type of sumo pulls I do will be of the modified type to save my hips plus it seems to be a better for my body leverage. But never the less my hips were just feeling tight as hell with the day I had a little voice told me Whoooo man. My luck I would have torn something.
