same to you…

Well crap…Must have irritated my left shoulder squatting. Warmed up to my first working sets with only 200. Had a slight twinge of pain in the rear of the shoulder with allot of weakness to the point I had to grind up the last rep. Put my ego aside and played it safe and ended it there. Screw some bullshit macho shit been there before and it bites me in the ass in the long run. I will just see how it feels tomorrow and try it again.

In retrospect as much as im enjoying the routine im doing. I might have to reevaluate it since Im starting to see signs that the volume might be too much for my old carcass.

Happy new year.

I must admit that my body cannot handle volume anymore. And you’re not even old.

Its not the age its the mileage in my case.

^^ I cant get this song out of my head.

Squat : (Buffalo bar) 2 x bar
95
135
195
240
290
315 x 5
360 x 5
410 x 8
315 x 10

GM’s: 5 x 10 x 155 …strict as always
Standing band crunches: 5 x 10

Went ahead and dumped the routine I was using for the moment due too my body not liking the volume and went back to what I was doing before. Which isnt a big deal since the bug I was fighting threw everything into chaos.

Damn bugs rearranged many a plan this holiday season. Nice squat work and GM follow-up.

The bad thing about this bug is it isnt done with are house hold as of yet.The wife is getting over it.

It was too damn cold to lift at the old Dog pound today …so I went to the local YMCA
which is never optimal for me. Yeah some people think training environment shouldn’t effect ones lifting. Good for them in my case it drains the life out of me .

Bench: 2 x bar
95
155
195
235
255 x 5… felt a slight twinge like last week.
290 x 5
330 x 8
255 x 8 …was going to do two more sets but didnt want to push it

Standing BNP: 135 x 5/ 10
Band pull aparts: 5 x 20

The Y sucked the motivation out of me couldn’t get in the proper mind set due to all the distractions around me. … called it for the day. Thank God Friday im training at my friends place around his crew. I will end of feeding off the environment.

FYI… some might find this interesting my friend has trained at Westside ( yes that one) on several different occasions.

hopefully the Y had some lulz

solid work all the same

No real lulz at the Y when i go there… other then crushing some of the over blown egos of a few brotards by just minding my business and training.

In reality the lack of knowledge there makes me sad…

^^ well since I posted last Bullpup has been on a rampage on the wrestling Mat. I was wondering when things would start clicking for him again after sitting out a year. Not to mention the rough patch he went through going against 4 of the top ten rank guys in his weight class in the State. So im over joyed seeing him finally getting back into the old groove and going into beast mode.( FYI… for those new to reading my log, I talk allot about my boys since they are more important then my lifting. So in a nut shell get the Fuck over it)

OK , Friday pulled and my friends gym which was a cluster since I got hit with another bug luckily its a short lived one and im already almost over it. Unfortunately , it turned my session there into a shit show.

Deadlift: worked up to 425 x 3 that was it I felt like garbage.
after words did a few odds and ends and my friend decided to kick my ass with the reverse hyper he has there.

Today… feeling better not a 100% but better

Squat: 2 x bar
95
135
185
240
290
335 x 3
385 x 3
430 x 6… I had more in me but damn these were moving slow
335 x 12… left a few in the tank these moved better
Gm’s: 5 x 10 x 155…strict
Standing band crunches: 5 x 10

Well time for some light conditioning work and cleaning up the food intake to melt off some blubber.
