Interesting, is there any more detail to this?[/quote]

There’s a thread in supps and nutrition called almonds vs. zma. Though Chris mentioned he’s not sure why it works, so he’s looking into it.

Finally got above 210 steadily. I was 212 lbs yesterday when I took this (more in profile.) Glad to see the that both bodyweight and the weight on the bar are still going up. Sadly I’m finally getting to the point where I feel like a fatass all the time. Although my weight has never been this high, this bodyfat percentage is about where I usually bail and decide to cut again. That thought hasn’t crossed my mind.

I really like having Croatian family in law, just got back from eating lots of meat with good companionship.

Today at a bodyweight of 272 lbs, I tested vertical jump on a wall board (jump up slap the wall, not quite as nice as using a vertec). 31", not too bad considering all the factors (training legs yesterday, being on my feet for the four hours preceding the test).

You have a 32inch vertical jump at 272lbs? lol What the fuck! How much do you squat? Do you play any sports?

Yesterday my standing vertical was 31", the most I’ve squatted is 315 x 10 (about a year ago, I have to be very careful in loading my spine as I have had spine problems), I played football in college.

I prefer to train my legs with the use of machines (variable resistance leg press, leg ext., leg curl, adductor, abductor) as it allows my to load my legs without my abs/low back limiting me.

Deat - how tall are you?

You’re a big ass mofo, showing us all how it’s done!

That’s a good mentality to have, but don’t sell yourself short. You’re doing pretty fucking good at this point, man.

Thanks dude, I appreciate your comments.

I do recognize that I’ve made progress, but I’ve still got quite a journey ahead (being 25 years old this Nov.)!

Ok so I found something new to eat when bulking to put some calories and protein away.
I mix about 100 grams of cream cheese and almond meal together with a scoop of vanilla protein powder and mix it up with a bit of vanilla essence and sugar. lol its great, tastes like cream cheese icing you get on banana cake.

Cream cheese FTW. Thanks for the tip.

How fast did you guys see your waist expand while bulking when you guys were beginners?

EDIT: I’m new to bulking only have bulked once before.

^^ was that a joke. I’m not good at detecting sarcasm.

Damn man 31" at 270? Mine is a 32" and I’m only 210. Do you do any dedicated jump training/plyos for it or are you just naturally springy?

No plyos or jump training, I’ve always had a vertical around 30", but maintaining it while gaining 40 lbs and not jumping (I used to play bball about twice a week, I haven’t played in 1.5 years) or sprinting is due to very intense leg exercises (HS Nautilus and Avenger leg presses, ext and curls).
