1 cup olive oil
1 cup vinegar
Worcestershire
crushed red pepper
cayenne pepper
fresh garlic and onion
and the ingredient that ties it all together: dry mustard powder.

Yes, calorie-wise, you could argue that eating clean vs. dirty shouldn’t matter for physique goals, but can you argue that they’re the same with respect to long-term health effects?

So if I have a cheeseburger, roast beef sandwhich, spaghetti and meatballs or a pizza every other day, opposed to a chicken salad with fruit, I’m going to have bad health?

Really?

you are totally taking it out of context. But in simplistic terms the answer to your question :FUCK YES
but it’s not that easy, firstly the quality and origin of the ingredients matter.
There was a whole line of articles on here with the organic vs non argument which pretty much tells it as it is.
Why would you consider a chicken and salad the only healthy food you can eat?

I am so sick of people acting like experts in fields that they clearly aren’t…but hey, at least you read some articles.

^^Seriously.

If every other day I have one of the following meals: “cheeseburger, roast beef sandwhich, spaghetti and meatballs or pizza” I’ll have health problems? Even if my diet is on point the rest of the time?

Yup, you’ll die. As a side note I did have 1 red baron classic crust 4 cheese pizza and a family sized box of velveta shells last night. I fully believe in carb-up and back loading…or at least that’s what I said last night. 2500 calories of goodness.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH why is everyone so retarded!

when did a roast beef sandwich even become “dirty”? meat on bread? speghetti and meatballs is dirty??? pasta and beef??

my head is going to esplode.

I’m surprised the grease from the pizza didn’t combine with a rouge velveta shell and instantly clog one of your arteries

if you do it every OTHER day then it won’t impact your health as much since it’s well every OTHER day, but what really counts is WHERE this food comes from. You can’t say that a McDonalds cheeseburger is the same as a home made cheeseburger and you can not eat mcdonalds every other day and have optimal health (notice the word optimal, not unhealthy)

Is it really? (Unless you only buy organic beef)

According to MacDonald’s, and if you believe them, their burgers are made from 100% beef and only seasoned with salt and pepper. I’m not all that confident the regular lean ground beef from the grocery store is really high quality either.

Every McDons burger I have had is greasy and nasty compared to any burger I can make at home…I wouldn’t hold mcdonalds onto the same standard of home cook food.

Well taste is one thing, but what specifically about a MacDonalds hamburger makes it so unhealthy, compared to a homemade one?

I mean if you could point to hormones and chemicals and that sort of thing then that would make some sense, but non-organic store bought beef is loaded full of the same stuff. I’m personally not a fan of McDonald’s hamburgers but I just don’t see how they’re considered toxic.

Take away the soft drinks and the fries, then I don’t see a huge difference.

^^Not to be overly argumentative–I eat ‘clean’ about 90% of the time, even some weeks 100% and then other weeks less. But I’d be curious to hear specific reasoning for what makes something unhealthy.

lol there’s actually quite a few rumours/myths surrounding McDonalds. I remember in high school I was told McDonald’s bought their beef from a company named 100% beef just so they could use the term 100% beef in their advertising without it being true.

That’s why I’m asking this because I hear a lot of people saying stuff like that but not a lot of actual facts of what makes a burger from McDonald’s so terrible.

This is from over the summer…I’d probably better illustrate why my burgers are better than McDons if I cooked you some…granted the BBQ sauce and bacon aren’t the healthiest of things, but they tasted delicious and the 85% lean was nice.
