Yes it is, sissy-boy. Don’t show off what you don’t have. Post another pic when you’ve gained 40 lbs.

You think you’re going to get good development without working out your whole body? Let those of us back in reality know how that works out for you. And stop saying “gunna” and “cuz,” you sound like a three year old.

Kids these days.

JMB
This is possibly one of the skinnier posters who have graced the forum with their pics in quite a while. Meanwhile, his focus is just biceps and chest? Funny how those articles mentioned apparently do a damn thing as far as his understanding of this.

Dude said that he’ll be working his entire body now that he’s been told why he should.

your poster is about to fall off

Good for him. I was responding directly to the attitude of “I’ll show them how hot my back is” clearly evident in his post. A bad attitude is a bad attitude.

Apparently, all others simply run away with their tail between their legs never to return to T-Nation.

JSbrook, I am curious as to why in the “are fruits good” thread you wrote:

i seriously need to hear some justification here…

Do people on this website not understand a joke? The collective humour chip must largely be missing
This seems odd considering the noise you made in this thread over the same issue. How could you hold such opposing views in two different threads about the same subject?

Do you really equate being ignorant as to the proper way to train as asking if fruits are bad? I honestly thought that thread was a joke at first. But, anyhow, my post there was actually a response to the person who posted ‘I need to here some justification here,’ thinking that the sarcastic response-that fruit, being nature’s candy, was bad-was a serious response to the orignal poster’s question. Not to the original poster.

If others hadn’t already done it, I still would’ve explained exactly why fruits aren’t ‘bad’ despite thinking the poster a dumbass and perhaps even calling him one.

Both are questions by newbies. How could you be so ok with sarcasm as a response to a newbie’s question in one thread yet seem to hate it so much in this one? This guy was not run away by my post. If anything, he claims he worked out harder because of it. By agreeing with the use of sarcasm in one thread, you make yourself a hypocrite by opposing it now. Your attempts to explain it away are lame considering the fact still stands that you don’t seem to have that opinion at all…unless I wrote the post.

What aren’t you getting? I wasn’t ‘ok’ with sarcasm in response to that newbie’s post in the absence of a legitimate response. And in fact there was a legitimate response before I posted. I was making fun of that OTHER poster [who was NOT a newbie] for being unable to comprehend that the response was sarcastic. Just basically saying, ‘Jesus, it’s a joke.’ Like people who fail to see the humour in TC’s article. It wasn’t about the original guy.

I appreciate that you did tell him he needed to work full-body. That is good. But you didn’t tell him why. I did. I gave him two valid reasons [rather than just posting an article link as I have been accused of] that he said he took to heart and lead him to decide to work his entire body. I have no problem with sarcasm; i’m a sarcastic person in real life. And sometime here. But on the internet, in a post that is ostensibly put out there to help someone, I don’t think it cuts it.

In addition to , the guy/girl needs to be told why what they’re doing is wrong, what they should be doing instead and why, and in a website like T-Nation why not refer them to article that sums things up pretty damn well for a beginner and gets them on the road to proper training. It need not take very long to do this. It’s not only your posts. Maybe they’d be absolutely fine if after a few more posts, someone posted a little bit more detailed information or refered the poster to an article.

But people on T-Nation jump on the Prof. X. bandwagon, and threads go on for pages of mockery without any actual more detailed advice or reference to the articles here designed to help these very people. Seems a logical conclusion that many people, though they may well continue to lift, would say, “Fuck this, I’m not gonna get any help here.” And continue figuring things out on their own-and the wrong way.

Why would you care so much about how I type? I don’t see you following anyone else on this board around to tell them how they should respond to posts. You are a hypocrite for jumping into this thread like this while defending a very similar type of post in another thread. Nothing you say will erase that. That makes your motives here very suspect. Perhaps you should just find someone else’s nuts to swing off of?

You have whined for several pages now. Congratulations on being a first class pussy. Your prize is a box of tissues (for those late night crying sessions), and Summer Rain Douche with a hint of baking soda. You can now post and smell fresh and clean like morning dew at the same time.

You are EXTREMELY thick for not being able to see that it’s not a similar type of post at all. In the fruit thread I made fun of a compeltely separate poster for not being able to appreciate a joke AFTER the ORIGINAL poster received legitimate answers to his question, dumb though it was.

I criticize the way you type because you are the LEADER and the most vicious in criticizing newbies while giving very little advice, at least intially, how they should change their training. Then the dog pack comes in and mimics your posts for pages on end before someone else logs in and sees the thread and acutally gives some advice. And if you insist on being sarcastic, it would be nice if you could write a few sentences about what the newbie should be doing instead and WHY. If not, at least try and make the sarcasm funny.

And you yourself chose to continue this. I said pages ago that we weren’t going to agree so we should just stop arguing. I’ll let it go if you will. I honestly don’t care that much how you post. I do think it’s a damn shame and often counter-productive if the goal is to helpf newbies. But I’m not going to continue to waste my time and energy trying to get you to be a little more constructive when it’s clear you aren’t going to be.
