Bulk and Cut Phases

Hey, first i’d like to say i love this site.
I am wondering, to put on serious muscle on my legs, i should be training heavy and eating a shit load right. I was wondering if i have to eat enough to put on some fat to build big muscle fast, or can i maintain a cut look and put on the muscle.

I’ve always wanted to be cut, and don’t want to have to lose my abs. So yeah, ive been making slow progress over the years, but can i make quicker gains by eating more. i have gained 5 or 6 pounds in the last few weeks or month, and my abs are still popping out quite nicely. will i have more gains if i eat more. and if i do need to concentrate on a bulking phase then a cutting up or getting ripped phase, how long do i do each phase for.

my workout for my legs as of now, with one hand in cast, are two leg press machines, and im trying to do 4-6 sets of maybe 6-8 reps.I sometimes super set these with drop sets of leg curls for my hams. and i do seated cal raise and claf raises straight legged on the leg presse machine. is this enough to gain muscle fast.

Eat clean and be patient. You are makeing good gains now and that’s the pace you should aim to maintain. You don’t have to get fat and if you start loosing unaccepable definition it’s a sign that either you are not eating clean enough or you are eating too much. Make sure you are saturating your body with protein and nutrients.

thx stu. I should have thought a bit more on that.i appreciate your help. i’m going to focus on eating healthy, but eating alot and ill post some pictures of the before and after pics.
