Good arm workout was good. Still enjoying the heavy bi/tri movement, then a triset for each. Fun stuff. Weak on teh closgrips for some reason, but no biggie. Good week on da decline and military, so something’s gotta give.

Seated alt. DB curls – squeezed the shit out of these mofos, controlled the negatives, the usual. Going heavy was fun :slight_smile:

CG bench press – like i said, weaksauce today. the bench was slick too and i was having trouble setting up tight cuz i kept slippin

Straight-bar curls / 2-armed DB preachers / OH curls (on pulley cuz some noob stole my pulldown) triset – went a little heavier on each movement. In weeks past, I can typically hit 12-15 reps until the very last round through, when I usually get around 10. This time i was struggling to hit 8 on some things by the 2nd round, lol. Felt sex. Slow negs on those BB curls raped.
85lbs on barbell, 25s for the DBs instead of 20s, and 60 on the pulley. 4 times through.

Rope pressdowns / Decline longhead extensions / Meadows DB kickbacks triset – good stuff. was hitting 10-12 I think for most of these after the first round through.
90 or 100 on the pressdowns, 55lbs for the EZ bar, and 10s (lol) for the kickbacks. Making baby weights hard is fun stuff.

Stretch, then 4 sets weighted leg raises w/ a 20lber. Want some abs plz. One of my gym wives was on the elliptical and made the ab work tolerable…

Haha, you guys are silly and easily fooled by good pics. I am a master of displaying aesthetics, relatively speaking. :wink: Realistically, I haven’t seen any substantial muscle growth in the past year. Just a sad fact of natty life.

On another note, absolutely killed it today. With changing, loooong fucking warmup, and cooldown, I was in the gym close to 2.5 hours. No matter, it felt good, energy was high the whole time. Took me a little while to turn on Beast Mode, but once it was on, straight murda:

Deadlifts – gonna regroove them. I find if I take more than 2 weeks off, I need to refind the groove before working back up to moving heavy weight safely. These doubles all felt ez mode, as they should.

Underhand pullups – for a change. Grip was kinda wide for underhand, maybe a smidge wider than shoulder grip. Was squeezing as best I could at the top of the movement, lowering slowly. You know how I be.
bw x 15, 12, 9, 5 (lol) - kept rest brief to get some blood flowin.

Meadows rows - on the old school t-bar. Got the groove for the body position, so these all felt sex. Holding onto the thick end of the bar pumps my forearms like no other, which makes the rest of the workout difficult, lol. Used 25s.

Close v-grip pulldowns – first 3 sets I did kinda diff… saw a vid of Roelly training back… he’d do some reps normal, then lean to the side and hit left lat, then to the other side and hit right lat. This was very difficult and i overshot the weight. Good to know for next time.

Wide-grip inverted fatman rows - grip and lats fucked at this point, trying to get some rear delts too
4 sets of 10, bodyweight.

Seated bentover rear delt DB flies
4 sets of ~20 with the 15s. Low rest. Pump.

One-armed DB preachers - very controlled, hard squeeze. Last set was tough.

Soo an ?ex-lover? of mine (people that know me better understand) is coming to visit me and will be here through the weekend.  I don?t foresee workouts affected too much, except that I?ll prob hit legs during lunch on Thursday, then lift with her Fri and Sat.  JUST A HEADS UP SO YOU GUYZ DON?T FREAK.
 
Hit a lunch time chest and tris sesh.  Don?t need 1.5 hours and get home late to hit these 2 little babies.  Plus, who doesn?t like looking awesome with a chest and tri pump after a ?fasted? session?
 
Some shoulder dislocates, stretched lats out a little, RC rotations, then got down to bidniss.
 
Decline bench press ? very short rest (for me) between warmups.  Wasn?t feeling as explosive as I?d like, but I decided I was gonna hit 335 as my top set before, so I wasn?t about to back down.  Turned out well.

Did that in about 45 minutes.

Thats funny, it screams massive overtraining to me. If you have gotten stronger, but not bigger, then something is off. most probably not eating enough.

Yes, I now train with quite a bit of volume, and I did an unusually high amount of volume yesterday.  I dunno if you are familiar with the concept of training instinctively, but sometimes, my body tells me to keep killing it, so I do so.  However, feel free to elaborate on how much volume you find acceptable;  always nice to hear what a massive, thick, solid, tight genetic freak?s thoughts are.
 
I?m not eating enough for what?  You are making assumptions and ignoring my current goals. Currently, priority number one is to maintain my current level of leanness, and explore how subtle dietary tweaks affect my leanness, dryness, fullness, and gym performance.  My body wants to be much heavier, believe me.   I could easily have my morning weight up 10lbs in a week by eating just a bit more, but I have no desire to smooth over and lose what precious little ?aesthetics? I do have, due to the way I hold water and fat.  I?m much happier, both in and out of the gym, when I maintain better condition, and I don?t feel the need to sacrifice that just so I can look bigger (cough, fatter) in clothes, put up some more weight in the gym, and get tired climbing a flight of stairs, especially for what, a pound of muscle for a year?s work?
 
I have been ?big? and fat and significantly  stronger than I am now. Hell, I hit my strength peak 2 YEARS ago… sad, huh?  I?m creeping back up to my old numbers by ?overtraining? as I?ve been, weighing 30lbs less.  I am happy with this.
 
In my bulking years,  I pounded the food for months and months and MONTHS on end (talking easily 5000kcal / day, EVERY day), been a disciple to progressive overload, and put  125% of myself into the lifting every time I went in.  It?s been kind of a sad realization, but the reality is, after you?ve been training as a natty long enough, the gains don?t exactly keep on coming just by eating more.  Sure, my lifts would be higher and my lifestyle easier if I relaxed the eating.  Maybe I would gain MARGINALLY more muscle, at best, but is being fat for a year worth 1-2lbs of muscle tissue AT BEST?  Not to me. 
 
This might be tough to relate to for you.  After all, you?re the 10-year natural perma-bulk trainee that is 5?8? or whatever weighing close to 300lbs.  I bet you?re a brick shithouse in real life:  the freak of the freaks.  You?re probably under 15% bodyfat, too.   I would love to see you come out of your silly internet shell and post some legitimate progress pictures, and maybe diet down to a respectable level of bodyfat.  Bet I?d be more envious then.  However, I?m sure you don?t want that, and would rather delude yourself into thinking you look like Kai Greene:  a huge, vascular, walking anatomy chart.
