yes you will pull 300 if up set it up right
It is as much a family program as we are at the gym.
Bar in the middle of the shoe laces and loaded hamstrings = 300!

Sorry Ms. Smart. I guess I’m full of piss and vinegar this morning. Stick to celibacy. hahaha
On a serious note, have you laid out your meet attempts?
No problem. I just think it’s amusing that the penis talk keeps landing here as of late.
We are using this week to gage where what our attempts should be. So after yesterday Jim said my first deadlift attempt will be 265, something easy to relax any kind of first time jitters. He said something about maybe being able to do 300 other than that, I’m not too sure. I’m sure I will figure out more as the week goes on.
I ordered my singlet yesterday…here’s hoping it fits (and gets here on time).
I think it’s good to open light. Treat it as your last warm up - at least that way you pretty much guarantee yourself a total.
I look at my attempts as:
1 - an easy double/triple on a shitty day
2 - match or just over my gym PB
3 - shoot for the moon, but still something that’s doable
Obviously things change if you’re going for a certain total, or are in a close race for first and want to win, but this way you don’t set yourself up for failure/stress.
And yeah, I hope your singlet gets there on time too… however if you and Molly had to share a singlet between attempts and there was video of it, I’d pee my pants laughing…
I like that concept for attempts, so for deadlifts 265,285-290 (just over my ugly 280 PR on max day),300?
I think we would end up peeing in the singlet from laughing so hard if this were to happen, and that would be really gross! Plus, she’s been on some kind of mission to rip my clothes off lately (I have the ripped shirt to prove it), so this may end up being dangerous.
At least it’s good to hear that mine and Ouro’s adventures aren’t the only almost-lesbionic ones on the forums
I swear when she did zerchers the other day and I was trying to show her what I thought she should do and we ended up humping each other cuz the bar was stuck on my suit and she was trying to grab it that the guys at the gym thought we were about to make out. (Holy run on sentence)
Yeah - like 265 is something you could pull if you had the bar set up like crap, were nervous and sweaty and had a pee-filled singlet… I had a big chat with the other guys that were coaching on Saturday about how it doesn’t matter what your jumps are between lifts. Nothing matters if you start too high and bomb out.

I’m pondering this as well. Along with:
B) why fat people wear lime green pants. excuse me, your ass is the size of a billboard; are you asking me to point and laugh?
C) how much hairspray do the cardio bunnies actually use to keep their coiffe movement free?
D) why there isn’t a taped off area in every gym specifically for bicep curls.
I’m betting on you pulling 300 at your meet. easy.

Okay, the above are legitimate questions but Ms. Smart clearly has a sign on her that says “Please post dink related talk here”.
I’m betting you’re right about the 300. Particularly when you have the adrenaline shooting out your eyes feeling that a meet gives you.
Sarah - it was nice to meet you yesterday! Your last pull looked super easy. I can’t wait to see what you do next weekend!

Things can definitely get ridiculously funny. I’ve found that you can make a joke out of most accessory lifts.
I believe you are right, not even sharing a pee filled singlet would stop me from lifting 265.

I have been trying to pull that sign off my back for a while now, I think it is write below the kick me sign, fortunately I have learned to kick back.
I think 300 is a completely attainable goal especially with the eye shooting adrenaline!

This made me die laughing! Pure GENIUS.
Wednesday APril 29 BENCH
5x135 belt and wrist wraps
3x150
1x165
1x180 This was easy and 5lbs off my max. I think it would be fun to try for 200 at the meet.
Pull ups with assistance
4x12 (They are getting much better)
Push ups feet elevated and 10lb plate on back
4x13,16,16,15
It was a real fun day. All of us were there lifting together, which we haven’t been able to do for the past couple weeks. So we were all slap happy and fiesty. I think Jim wanted to shoot us all.
Sarah benching 165

Excuse my possible slowness, but what is the point of wearing a belt to bench? I know I only started wearing one (and still only wear it) when I’m in a bench shirt and that’s just to hold it in place. Anyone? Anyone?
Sarah being a bench-tastic b*tch hookerface and benching 180 EASY!

Have something to push out against and help keep your whole body tight =D
Sarah - 180lb looked easy. Have you been practicing with commands? You are getting close to your meet and want to make it habit. Hold the weight locked out for a second, like you are waiting for a rack command.
Great job.

Thanks, Claire. It definitely felt pretty good. We have worked on press commands all month so I am getting that down. Today Jim (the coach) told me before I lifted, to hold it and not rack, but of course it was in one ear and out the other. We are going to work on this next week before the meet. The last thing I want is to disqualify myself on a technicality.
I saw your 250! I was completely impressed/jealous/inspired!
Haha yes we were practicing with commands today but we both forgot to hold it and wait for our Coach to tell us to rack it on our heavy lifts… WHOOPS! =-/
