Brute's Book

Borrowing a chihuahua made me smile. I hope it is a great thanksgiving. Being around good people and having good food has always been good for my soul. I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I was a cancer patient. I will not pretend to know what she is going through. I do know that it was tough for the people close to me too.

Thank you Planetcybertron. Its beyond helpful to hear from someone who understands the phantoms. We got this.

Thank you hkd , i appreciate your perspective as a survivor. My sister really does plan on giving me a Chi-Chi for the night! After we clip and paint their nails and everything! I am excited to see her and her lil dogs!

Thanksgiving was a good day with my family and multiple dogs. Lots of food and talking with my sisters which was a massive relief. It was great to get a lot off my chest. I also got an instapot! WOOOHOOO!!!

Butt is feeling it from the wide zerchers. I’m glad I added them into the mix!

AND I did one of the wild Tnation article “how in shape are you” blah blah misc “tets”.
These I always read and sometimes secretly do test myself. This one was run on a treadmill for a mile at 6 miles an hour for 10 minutes to see your conditioning level. I did and it was no sweat, I actually did 15 minutes because I was not paying attention. I have no intention of running/jgging again but I can probably do it. Knees might complain tomorrow though.
Stepmill is x1000000 times harder.
then linear leg press empty x10, with 50# x 10
ghr’s 3 sets of 10

Yesterday wt’d vest (20#) push ups a set of 20 (rep pr with the vest!), a set of 10

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving, you deserve it, as you are the hardest worker on here. Just curious, are you doing your walking on a treadmill or outside? Be safe.

Thanks Idaho! I really appreciate it! I do walk outside with-- my Bear Spray! -but am not sure for how long I’ll be able to with the seasons. Things are calming down for me so the walk will decrease.

I’m the lucky and grateful receiver of a wave of calm in my frame of mind. Things will slow down in here, and it has been needed. I’m glad it came before I injured myself trying to burn off the angst.

I’ve been listening to supertraining’s stuff a lot lately. This one in particular I’d like to put in my log as a reminder for me. Things I knew, in a way but also some I did not. A massive amount I need to tell myself.

Some self talk from me to me: Feel it all Brutie. It earned it, It deserves it, feel it ALL and grow. You’re lucky you had it Brutie. Celebrate every bit of it. Don’t forget what a gift it is to mourn.

Today- 8 mile walk.

Yesterday was a rough day when I finally processed a ton of personal stuff. Today will be better.

However! After watching that Mark Bell vid about the para and sympathetic nervous system stuff and how your brain prioritizing it energy use, I think my personal stress equated to a 2 thousand mile farmer’s carry. So I guess I can log that?? Ha??

More family time today and some nature time too! Going to the mountains and meeting my uncle’s dog.

Shit is going DOWN at work and its a good thing! I hope my new supervisors stay because they are fixing shit up!! The lack of negativity, bitching, anger, basically toxic environment has helped me a ton. I’d rather be short staffed and busting ass then fully staffed with a toxic person around.

ALSO! Its nice to get feed back. I never get tired of hearing that I do a great job and am appreciated–I am a sucker for genuine compliments and ones about my work ethic are one of my favorites. A much needed boost and reminder of who I am as a person in a bit of a time of personal hardship.

Putting it a compliment in my log for myself to remember.
“She ( another person) gets so overwhelmed then gets so angry that she can’t function. Why can’t she just be like you who just kicks ass instead?”

MMMHMMM. That IS me!

I believe I’ve pin pointed a cause to my issue with my knees. The carries have taken their toll but I won’t give them up. I also was able to tell myself to keep my head up and butt clenching which helped a lot today.

I have tended to slunk posture a bit and kinda half run with the carries which my knees hate but my grip prefered!! So head up, butt clench and whisper walking it’ll be, tight tight tight.

I am not looking for speed personally just time under tension and to put hair on my chest!

Checked out another gym’s stones…I had hope but looks like my best bet is my current turbo gym’s set…but all signs point to needing to use tacky on the current slickness of those stones.

I’ll figure it out. Its just the 167 stone that is now unpickable with the gloss paint coat. I know I can do that when it was just cement. The next step up is a 205 one that is unglossy for now. I can get the 200 sand bag up ok but that stone has only BARELY moved for me on my best tries.

This year has been rough. A person I worked with passed away yesterday, very young and had a lot of promise. I hope the cause wasn’t what I think it was. No matter the cause its a reminder that life is so precious, and so worth it. No matter what, temporary problems are just that.

You never know what personal crosses everyone bares…However, life is worth it always even when its bad its absolutely worth it.

I am feeling a lot more myself lately too, I will A-Ok.
