I tried my some misc pull up things today. In a fit of angst and dispaiir over a now solved issue, I was searching though stuff and found my old wt’d vest. So I did some pull ups wearing but I won’t again since it was hard on my elbows.

BUT I did try L-pull ups. OH HEY NOW. Those F*ers are HARD!!! I tried first a modified one leg bent on leg forward attempt and then tried the real thing and I haven’t felt my abs more in a long time. PARTY!!! :D!! I hope to get better at these! I did a set of sorta 2. HA HA!!

also back extensions with 55# x 25

Looking good on the West Side. Just wondering how the big dogs coming along? I’ve got a lab-doodle ( a big one) at work, 5 months post-knee surgery; he’s a goofy fellow, and hard to rein in. Makes me think of you:)

AH ERIC! Thanks for thinking of My BELOVED ANGEL. He’s doing really well and full of exuberance that I must contain!! He gets xrays Thursday for a 8 week pos top check to see how his knee is looking with his new hardware. And DOES he feel really good, I didn’t realize how lame on that leg he truly was before his surgery

All my fingers are crossed things go to plan–and hopefully I’m a 1/4 of the way through the hard part of the long game of fixing both knees…ugh god… MAN do I miss our walks so!!! Its fall too soon, the best time to go. Hopefully we can get back to our long luxury walks on the streets–maybe 6 months? :{

Well, I got called in early to work so my week will be all messed up.I couldn’t say no to helping the overnighters…though I really wanted to lift! I tried to lift after my shift at 2pm ish and it was not even gunna happen. I tried a few fs and then figured out its not a good idea.

So pull ups- 10, 6, yeah uh 3 wanna be L-pull ups
then 3 sets of 8 and misc sets for a total of 50 or so.
1 leg bent l- pull ups x 3 x a set of each side
abs are sore already

Times are tough! Or I am outta shape! I AM outta shape!! HA HA HA!!! Those bastard fs were tough. First three sets were ok, but I had to walk a few laps between the last ones. Rep 5 on set 5 took about a year and a half to get out of the hole.

I am proud! I did it! Next week’s reps are supposed to be…I’ll think of next week next week.

Repeat again of early work at 1am but this time it was early enough to get off at 11:30a so I was able to get a nice nap after. Also dead lifts are easier to do somewhat tired then fs.

The sternum pull ups are ok but I don’t like how they make my neck feel. Some article I read that made me want to try them directed to look behind you like you’re doing a back flip and for me that’s just too much for my neck.

I filmed some yesterday, my sternum and my wanna be l’s. Also got a dl on film today because I felt like my form was weird.

OH MY GOD!! Moss’s post op exam went really well! No issues and the good news is his right leg has a partial but not full cruciate tear. Surgeon said just to watch it for now which means no immediate surgery. OH MY GOD THIS IS WONDERFUL NEWS. I am so pleased!!! :)!!!

TOTAL PARTY WEEKEND since hearing this news!! By that I mean my spirits are high!!! WORD!!! I got rear ended at a stop light yesterday and the guy full on took off. No big deal really to my car–he hit my spare tire and he flew away so fast I couldn’t see his damage-- and I wouldn’t have given him trouble anyways, however being jazzed about my dog news , who cares?

Great news about Moss. The dog of another powerlifting friend of mine is having surgery very similar (identical?) to Moss today. She has taken a week off work to care for her baby. I think back on how tough that time was for you!

Thanks Karen! I wish your buddy well and she’s smart to take time off work!! Its a hassle to say the least!! I am MOST relieved to not have to do it all over again …yet. I can absolutely live with that.

Great news for sure, and yes, BS with the other driver. Dang those pull-ups look tough. I have allergy issues so, I’m not allowed to do them:)

Do they make knee braces/sleeves to help dogs?..that he wouldn’t just eat off his leg? Seems equal parts a great idea, and ridiculous at the same time.

Thanks Eric! They do INDEED make braces for dogs! In Moss’ case he doesn’t need it, but if I couldn’t afford surgery then a brace could be an option to support his stifle (knee)

Dog and cat rehab and PT is a rising specialty in vet med with all our dogs living longer and people having the means ( and desire) to help them be conformable longer. Water treadmills, laser therapy, acupuncture, you name it it can be done! Moss would however destroy any type of cyborg robocop device on his body. I put a dog back pack on him once and he rolled down a hill trying to chase it off his person.

And I’m excited to see you guys too! I hope your pre meet week goes smoothly!

I was laughing going into this today–like let’s see how terrible this will be! In a good humored way that is! This was the tough week I was dreading but I’d give myself an A- or B+

I was supposed to do 6 sets of 6 with the 200. I MIGHT have been able to get the last set for 5 but that’d be a joke of a wild lift or a total fail. I’m pleased with what I was able to do!

Yesterday another wild early, BUSY day at my job. Did 3 set of 5 pull ups before I got called in.

I worked an extra overnight shift last night to help out my buddies ( and make $$$$) with the 24 in patients and 4 ICU patients. The place was so busy we had to divert non critical or bleeding emergent walk in cases to other clinics.

Turned out ok because my sleep was messed up anyways from the night before. After work this morning I got a nice nap then did some stuff.

I rolled up at 5:30 to the field and swifty fled after spying what I am fairly certain was a drug exchange going down. That or a creeper convention…
