HA HA! Well thanks Z! I do infact live really close to the Wheat Ridge rec center and have never been in it more then for some work meetings. HOWEVER. They do have huge indoor water slides WHy haven’t i tried them out before?? HA HA! I think I will.
Yeah, the gym is Armbrust Pro Gym. “The gym for everyone”, except if you go at peak hours then its the gym for bros and doucehrs. But I admit the early bird hardbodies–usually people who’ve been lifting forever and are in their 40’s to 50’s are a nice crowd. All seven of them. I live right on down 44th, so its very convenient. A bit of a crazy neighborhood sometimes, but the druggies typically mind their own business and Moss out weights most of them.
:D!! Thanks HKD! We’ll see. nO real name for the Twins just yet. Still getting to know em!
I will say those twins are really popular with all audiences. I’ve been excitedly posting pictures on my fb like a dork and some of my non lifter friends seem to be excited about em which is always nice. They just look fun! And they are fun!
Silver blood! They are indeed! If you remeber PMPM, she gave me some advice on getting some stuff from home depot to use as clips! So the dog leashes will have to last at least until I get paid next.
Today was ok. Short, ok.
deads 45x10, 135, 205, 255, 295, 300, 320, 330
300x2, 300x3 x 2 sets, 300x2
lots of back extensions
tricep stuff
today
fs 45x8, 115, 170, 185, 195, 205,215, 210, 200, 190
135x20, 135x10, 135x8
we’ll see how this goes I guess. I am not ready for much these days, however the light reps felt great and fun to do always. I do love high reps stuff.
wt’d back extensions - I like these. Just a lil 30# preloaded bar for these.
machine rows

Great visual. That gym is known for its juicers.
Oh Snap…I had such high hopes for a while there, I totally liked it…I really did then I guess it all crashed down after repeat exposure. Too MUCH!!!
Yesterdays pull ups
5 sets of 10, 9 waited 30 seconds then did one, same thing for the next set, then 8 waited then 2, you get the idea for a total of 103 reps all together.
Thanks Silverblood! Its between some fancy new pants…or a t bar of my own. OR…yeah, just between those two!
Today I took out the handles again. MAN do I such at holding them! But its just so fun! I added some wt and I guess it was too much but I had already tied the dog leashes so I just went for it. TONS of stops, I couldn’t hold em for longer than 4 or 5 feet! Just my grip su, or something sucks so badly which is the whole point I suppose. HA!
But it was really enjoyable and a total task. I feel tired and sore so it did something. I do need to figure out how to train that and what my goal is I suppose. ANYWHO
farmers walks
265 total wt (132-133#) per arm for misc distance with stops stops stops. I guess kinda suitcase deadlifts with a lil bit of prancing in between.
then the distance with a 45 per arm back and forth. At one point I had to run because the guy was mowing the field with a big tractor and I had to get out of the way.
DUDE. Its this stinking left hand’s middle finger’s callous is such a bastard! I filed them down but it just always so tender! THAT I think is my stupid grip issues. I am going to try some wild foam tape over it to cushion it and see if it helps. Or learn how to use straps.
Lots of good stuff in here, I would use straps for the farmers walks since you are doing weighted carries for distance. Those farmer handles look bad ass, if you have anyone who is handy as a friend they could lend you pony clamps for collars.
Hmm…thanks for the suggestion Scotto!! I just looked those up and those would for sure work if I could get a hold of some.
I did find the pipe clamps PMPM told me to try, they fit over some rubber tubing to make a lil clampy thing you screw together. Can’t find rubber tubing that is big enough but I might just use a towel or something. Makes no sense unless you see it though! I think I can get it together for this weeks trek.
Today
fs 45x8, 115, 170, 190, 200, 210, 220
145x20, 145x10x 2 sets, 145x8
back extensions with the swiss bar- held to chest, added 20 pounds x 3 sets of 10
I am a bit happy the heavier fs singles early on didn’t feel as heavy as they have been. Must be the spinach I’ve been eating.
Squashed my diaphragm on the back extensions-- total head rushes after doing them. I will use a different back extension set up next time that doesn’t cut me in half.
yesterdays pull ups
5 sets of 10, 5 sets of 7 wait 30 seconds then 3
today
fs 180x12, 190x5, 200x3, 210, 215
185x5, 195x4, 205x2, 215
low anderson zerchers 135, 205, 235 x 3 x 5 sets
OH I got a new mattress today! I went to pick it and noticed it looked really small, so I thought oh well that’s not right, I must not have a full size mattress. I must be mistaken and have a queen at home instead, that tiny full can’t possibly be the right size. And now that I thought about it I had just got queen sheets n stuff.
Luckily the queen was only $30 bucks more so I grabbed it and headed home…to realize I did indeed have a full. I’d also like to add I have been buying the wrong sheets this whole time not realizing they are not supposed to be kinda big!! :{. Anywho! Now I have a queen and …just need a new box spring. I guess I’m upgrading one way or the other.
It is fabulous though!! A firm pillowtop lovely queen sized …mattress.

lol, this is totally something I would do
If you like the dog leash route, I have about 6 of these and they are fantastic. The loops let you clip to pretty much anywhere on the length of the bungy cord. You could probably get by with one per handle.
Thanks Scotto!! There are tons of options I am finding!
Me and my twin stared at them in the back of my car for a good 20 minutes trying to come up with various ideas. Between the two of us we figured to try a latex glove wrapped around the bar with a regular oly bar clip on top of it. WORKS!!! The bit of latex gives it a nice tight fit and keeps it from rolling for the most part. I have drawers full those exam gloves from work, like the leashes that end up in my scrub pockets. They might not be an answer when I load more wt on em, but they did totally fine for today’s stuff.
Farmer’s walks 112# per hand misc distance.
Went much better today with less wt and I carried them farther before stopping than I’ve done before. Much better than two weeks ago with the same pounds.
I’m trying to get my twinnie to try the handles. She’s looked at them more than a few times with interest. She does do a little bit of wt training, dumbbells and stuff but she’s always been supportive and excited about more focused stuff…I know the lifting bug in her somewhere. Maybe they can be a gateway drug for her of sorts.
Ah geez. Today had the best of intentions but then my mp3 was dead.
deads were thus: 45x10, 135, 205,255, 265, barely 295
HA! called it at that. Did some back extensions.
Came home and actually got Moss to walk in the dark. An achievement in itself. We’ve been changing things and our early am walks have stopped since he began to get stubborn and also afraid of the dark outside. Short walk but around 2 miles. Also for fucks sakes I need to fix my hands. That or the lack of mp3 makes everything hard to be distracted from. Probably the music.
I also think I might be better off doing deads every other week–getting better big plls to be precise. Not that I am some elite lifter by any means, or even as strong as I used to be, but they seem to be better that way. I do like doing them however…we’ll see.
today
fs 45x5, 115, 170, 190, 200, 210, 220
155x20, 155x8 x 3 sets
back extensions
ghrs on that messed up ghr thing x 20 or so. Not full rom since it won’t permit it with its messed up state. I left a note for the people to fix it , I hope they do.
I just can’t keep track of all the twins in this thread…? Every time I look…‘twins’, ‘my twinnie’…new twins…
And then you pop up as the cover athlete for today’s article too…although that weight would be way light for you but, photo shoots are like that sometimes. I cant be the only person who has thought this.
HA!!! ! Z I think I’ll stick to using “handles” now that the relationship is more established! I do have a fraternal twin sister who is a HARD CORE Libertarian and more than a bit paranoid about her privacy and her name, so I call her Twinnie on the internet! She has not idea however that I ever mention her since she avoids any and all social networks, or any kinda internet forum that is not related to auditing the fed or protecting gun rights, or that kinda thing.

Got a new mp3 and some headphones, and some straps so I’m all set. Going to learn how to use em via youtube later today. Mysteriously lost some wt these last few weeks and am sub160 which is low for me. Not sure the deal and doubt it’ll last.
Today
farmers handles 122# per hand for misc distance.
Things went well today. I was really surprised actually! Far longer distance before stopping and I added a distance to the total as well. really happy! Grip held up once I started to think of it more as pain/disconfort instead of sucky grip, which is what it seems to be. But word!

Just tell her everyone here supports the right to bare arms while showing off their guns.
