At home I’m doing some bulgarians lunges -bw 5 sets of 10 per leg. My legs have lost a lot of size the last year or so, about an inch and a half per leg. And they are I believe weaker, so why not do some bulgarians.

Went well again today! Not as good as last week but I am happy I had some decent distance between stops, my speed was for sure better, grip too was good! No straps!

I wanted to do more but between a sets someone doing the, "Let’s teach the girlfriend how to WORK OUT MAN " type situation going strutted on up. Along with the girl and an ace sideman bro along with him .So it appeared- , bro jumped on thinking it was free and promptly rolled the feet way back and did back extensions in the half circle of adoring friend/girlfriend waiting to learn to LIFT. I like to add as well he set his coffee on the reverse hyper because…its a coffee table I guess for bros training their girlfriends.
Oh well, at least I can use it! And it seems more legit then the other one which is in a corner of shame now. The new one actually slides back so you can get a much better fit for your legs. HA HA! I left a nice smiley face thank you note for it as well.
I also did back extensions on a thing meant for only back extensions.
It has been too cold and snowy to do farmers walks this week or walking the long walks with Mossi. Had a wild temperature drop of 50 degrees on I think tuesday or monday. Balmy almost in the morning then rock bottom cold by sunset.
Instead I did cardio weds, yesterday, and some cardio today after deadlifts. I might switch up my days and do deeds of friday or saturday now since I get more time those days. Maybe farmers on thursdays and saturdays deads? whatever. I might just have to swap depending on the weather could be a easy fix.
I worked on my hands the last few days and that helped a lot, smoothed out my callouses and bumpy palms.

Did I see a vid of the old machine a ways back?..maybe another thread. Sounds pretty cool though, be fun to try one someday. I do hip thrusters on a smith machine; works very well indeed. I thought I was being clever…along with a million other people, so I’ve seen on the Intranet.
I’ve got 27Lbs. of Beagle with cabin fever at home…Hope yours isn’t as unruly!
BTW–Kpsnap mentioned a meet 12/9 and 10 in Aurora…sounds like fun!
AH Eric! Moss is being pretty patient with the frigid cabin fever but it won’t last long! I can’t wait to get him out this weekend! We both need to air-iate a bit, dear me.

I guess I am on maintenance mode for lifts. Not really excited to do em or feel that surge. Maybe its just winter kinda blahs- all the same 'tis fine with me.
I was then curious so I went to my car and I tried a belt for front squats for the first time ever.
Belted felt noticeably easier. I have never belt trained much let alone on front squats, a few times on deadlifts I have tried but just never kept using it.

Funny about the belt…I use one for fronts, in the smith machine…GASP!!! “Oh my god, whats he doing over there”. If I KNOW I can get 5 or so reps…no. But when I wanna push things a bit…sure I’ll use one. Just another tool as we always read and hear. Truth is, I use it a bunch, but I know I’m smart about it.
I am however, still trying to figure out what these ‘pullups’ you speak of are…they just don’t ring a bell; Hmm.
And BTW–I may GO TO WATCH the meet, but I’m to vain to try to COMPETE IN ONE! To weak, get it? Hah.
AHH!!! ERIC!! Just clear the air! I am not anti belt! I am not anti anything really. Everyone has their thing and god knows I do my own thing. Who cares if its doing what you need it to do for you? This applies to lifting and to lots of areas in life in my eyes!
I even own have two belts! One is a old ass prong belt I got at a thrift store for $8 and one I specifically purchased new, in a fancy color, with a lever trying to get use out of a belt. And of course, the thrift store one is the one I like best.
I did the math wrong the last time for my carries. Today I did the same as the last time two weeks ago. Same wt, and it went much better! Longer distances between stops. I hope it continues this way.
