Fantastic!!

OH 2b I know! I do like that ssb. My turbo gym is a lot better then 24 hour fitness for that. Never a shortage for bars or racks, however deadlift space can be an problem if there’s more then one person doin em. And there is also far to many benches for my liking but otherwise I am spoiled. Lots of toys and good stuff at the turbo gym…its my luxurious treat to myself! 2 gym memberships is worth it!

Thanks rfstef2!!!

Today was of course more fs
135x3, 165x3, 190x3, 201x4 x 4 sets, 211x2, 221
lower anderson zerchers–lowered the pins- 205x8, 225x7, 225x5

I’m such a training snob. First off I am well aware I am no statue of fitness or some kinda fit model of a female, and I totally do whatever the hell I feel like with little to any direction or focus–fine.

I was thinking of changing around some stuff, long story short I looked into someone and was appalled to find…that he’s a crossfitter. Not just a crossfitter but one who still has the total new drinking the cool aid madness about it.-and the crossfit snobbery of someone who just found out about it but is in the throws of infatuation with the wods. And bragging that its expensive so he has no need to fear meeting someone broke!! How many things are wrong about that?? That you’re braggin…about paying a lot of money…for exertion you could do on your own? Says you are lame on multiple levels.

Yikes. Instantly I was in snob mode and brushed off any ideas I ever had of anything.

This made me smile. If you would ever be interested in trying something new that is structured but changes up enough to be fun, we should chat. I log my workouts in “training logs.”

First off, good work, as always with the Fronties. I’m always impressed to read about your lifts.

Secondly, I don’t think it’s at all snobbish on your part, Brutty. It’s a conditional thing with the individual (or individuals), really. Frankly, I think crossfit is a good thing. I’m not really into it, but I’ve also had only limited experience with it. I tend to prefer lumbering in my garage, alone with my weights and my music, but I’m just a loaner when it comes to lifting. The sport does promote endurance training (which I need more of) and it exposes people to oly lifting and power lifting. However, it is the trendy thing right now and all of the weekend warriors are bringing their douchebaggery to the sport. Just like when Brazilian jiu jitsu became popular. All of the sudden you saw BJJ stickers on every raised truck and hearing about how guys are gonna kick ur ass with their new moves, that they learned in their 1 hour sessions, 2 nights a week where they practiced with the rest of their family…

It’s not really an issue with the sport, so much as it is with some of the people participating, who turn us off to it. In this case, a guy who says things such as you mentioned, bragging about the cash spent is compensating for something or has really just lost touch with reality. It sounds like he has a lot of growing up to do. That being said, I have friends that do participate in crossfit, who are really down to earth and they really enjoy it. Though, I’m pretty sure one of them just goes to check out the girls, but he’s a good guy still.

ah thanks rstef2! I’ll check out your log! :D!

Yeah Wiex, upon further thought I feel I in fact just got a bit butt hurt for no reason and lashed out over someone who I wanted to be something they just are not–And its not my business if it makes them happy…even though its annoying to me … and I’d had liked it to be otherwise for selfish reasons of my own.

I agree on crossfit itself being a good thing for people well just any kinda activity is good. Also god knows there are more then a few annoying people who power lift and whatever, its totally the person and not the sports fault. Or my distaste for a type of personality that shows a bit more in light of their chosen hobby… or that I have my own total dislike for a few aspects competitive , expensive, or even just plain macho type tastes and hobbies can bring out of people.

Just inconvenient for me and my fancy! But then it makes the cool people in my circle that much cooler and to be treasured. And thus that page briefly looked upon and considered in my life is turned.

Well stated. And the quicker you can turn the page on poor experiences, the better served you are in the long haul. Though, I’m sorry this experience was less than stellar.

BTW, How’s Mossimo the Magnificant doing?

Such a good looking pup. It looks like he’s got a 45lb plate for a chew toy, in the background

Nice work as always Brute! Hope you are loving your summer

Yeah Wiex! He likes to chew the carpet…so I implement my spare plates to keep the ragged bits down…I have a few db’s plopped around the place serving the same function --works great!

Thanks Coyotegal! OFFHHH but how I long for fall…crisp walks instead of burning sun mars atmosphere outside! I just can’t wait to walk Moss in the coolness vs devil heat!

well pull ups today are not so hot but whatever. I’m on set 9 or so and not having the best rep number but I’m gogin to aim to go for a total of 100 vs sets of reps.

So far its gone thusly-- 4 sets of 10, 4 sets of 7, a set of 5.

My grip for the sets of ten kept wanting to inch closer which sucks. Just need more patience , the ste of 7 were wide as I can go grip on my bar but not the prettiest.

Here’s a vid to add some color to my log. Its some zerchers form tuesday. I don’
t know the wt I had on these. I like having vids here to look back on since this log is a journal in a way for me. I also would like to share zerchers with everyone! I used to really hate them before i ever gave them a chance. they are great! And not as barbaric as they sound, just really good all around exercise I personally think. And doing then Anderson style helps.
