Filmed my pull ups and I don’t like how they looked…they looked kippy. I’m not used to using a bar that my feet don’t touch the floor with so I did em straight bodied and they looked kippy and gross! :{ BLAH!!!

Ah well. Also I felt my deads suprisingly in my butt today. Not ordinary but I’m not complaining.

uf. Turns out I was feeling the aches of a bti of a upper respiratory/bronchitis type thing on monday. Tuesday I was very walloped and didn’t even try pull up. I walked a few miles instead.

Today was maybe better then last week’s heavy cns dya but probably not. I wasn’t expecting much at all. I used the strange # plates to fool myself a bit. Then just added up the numbers after I’d hit my wall.

fs 180.5, 195, 206, 214.5 x 8 singles dropped number 9
heavy holds 265, 275, 285, 295–just unracked these and walked them out only
Andersons at various heights. I knocked down a slot each time. Nothing ended up with me dropping even close to parallel. I’ll show a vid maybe so it makes more sense.

I’m not sure if these help with my fs vs my upper back. Today I was sore pretty much rigth awya after my tries but I’m also kinda sick.

yeah! I like em. Just load the bar in your elbows–I am a baby and either use little wt or a pussy pad to cushion my elbows for stuff over like 85 pounds. Its a nice lower back movement!

Still sick but its dissipating. I took today as a sick day from work more for my sanity then hard core sickness. I can handle the job today but probably not the level of annoyance and stress that goes with it while having a voice like a transsexual and a lungy, productive cough.

So nothing the last few days. I did pull ups today tough-- 12 sets of 8. Took my time and really trying to get the wildness tamed.

with a voice like that you might be able to make a dollar or two as a phone op. :stuck_out_tongue:

Feeling better form my chest cold today and did some deadlifts. I think I might have just over done it on something–CNS wise- the last few weeks because I NEVER get colds. I can’t remember the lat time I had a COUGH of all things --it’d been years. I feel its an affront to my pride! My immunity is strong! I was my hands vigorously ! So I must have taxed myself somewhere to much or been stressed…I have been a bit stressed over some significant life stuff now that I think about it…that just has yet to happen but Im still buggin over it as calm as I can.

NOTE to self. I think upper back work is exhausting to me–so I am going to do it more. But no pully baloney–i hate face pulls, lat pull downs, fucking anything you have to pull that stupid pully thing to do…gawd any kind of db work. I just find it boring and lifeless.

I seriously don’t even equate them in MY mind as lifting…I’ve made it that much of a thing for me! Its akin to benching which I won’t do. This is I know stupid and far sided, and yes very indulgent of me but I can’t change how I am–or more truthfully I have no interest AT all in these exercises no matter the wealth they may provide me in terms of strength gains. They take away my will to live. I’d rather sharpen a pencil for 8 reps. They make me angry.

I’m not into lifting wt’s for THEM!! ARGH! I just get so passionate about my hatred for these things! So its more zerchers - zercher gm’s, and pull ups for me, csr too. Self note ended.

That’s kinda how I feel about back squats right now. Doing stuff when I am not sure if I am doing it right is really stressful to me.

You’re clearly a super insanely strong person so whatever you choose to do should just continue to make you a super strong person. !

Zerchers for upper back ~~~I like that idea. I cant imagine your padding. Im a light weight and Itried it with padded longish socks that were super thick in the feet, i cut out the ends, pushed them up to that crook spot , and still not pain proof. But you are tuff!

OH but no no no! I am not tough when it comes to my fleshy delicate elbows. NO! I use the full on tube shaped pad most commercial gyms have for people who want to use it for back squats and stuff. I will go about 95# without padding…I don’t even want to try over that. Your sock solution to me sounds precariously too thin!! For me at least! PADDING for my zerchers, I don’t care if its wussy!!

Today was better then I expected. I’ve kinda come to the conclusion that I might have had a bit of a CNS over-kill from my training, which left my nerves frazzled and vulnerable to the ill I had last week. SO I’m going gingerly. I still feel tired and stuff and yesterday I just slept in instead of lifting–time change made me confused as well as i was just too fatigued.

So today I just tried to que my upper back to do its part. I did heavy-ish singles for fornties. Instead of thinking to get my butt or my hips or whatever up underneath me on the ascend, I decided to tell my upper back to do its part and then the hips kinda on their own went under, legs kinda happily gave the oomph.

Its not my legs or quads or even my abs that short me but on front squats, because quads are massively made to be efficient and strong muscles in themselves, mine or anyone elses–its ALWAYS been the elbow dropping or front kinda droopy sagging from my upper back not pulling its share. Just took me this long to realize it.

So for now I think my new motto is “Upper back, DO YOUR JOB”. Less overloading the cns stuff more queing my upper back to participate. My upper back muscles just not strong enough, mature,or even materialized enough to handle the heavy stuff all the time yet. Its asking too much. With I think caused the melt down.

uf. Stillnot there all the way today…but I’m not too suprised. My rep fs day was not so hot. Lots of excuses --sicky recovery, whatever, also I biffed it and messed up my trianign days.whatever. here’s what I did.

Mistake number 1 was doing my pull ups last night…instead of friday. But I had this idea I’d be more apt to do more work today, if I didn’t tyr and save my self for pull ups . whatever! Bad idea

last night’s pull ups were a tired event to. No need to post them! I think I’ve been over doing them this week. No more multiple times a week doing those.

my morning was pull up time. i heard back from my pull up guru and he just told me basically to keep it up, strength will grow and with it better prettier pull ups. But to aim to be as good as you can.
