i do a kinda corkscrew thing like that on my squats, too. except i do it worse, i think. trying to do unilateral work to stop it… and also staying with the sticking point and not letting myself twist on the way up. tis hard, though. my left leg likes to do most of the work.

i just started with single leg glute bridges (cause i wanna kick back to headstand) and was freaked out to discover that one of my glutes is much much lazier than the other. didn’t pick up the a-symmetry from two legged hip thrusts at all :frowning:

pull-ups get hard sometimes, hey. i went through a period where i just knew there was no way before i even started… i’ve been a wuss :frowning: will get back to it monday…

Hallowed–oh yeah, I barfed last night :{ Something I ate was bad and I got sick , I felt better afterwards and ate loaves of bread in a starving hunger later . now I feel like a walking bruise. I’ve been neglecting my protein intake so that’s part of it–> Need to get my albumin up.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I will try and get back to working out tomorrow but depending on how my kraken feels it might be a bad idea :{ Its sore on the crease of my legs and belly on the right side.

I really timed getting that worked on wrong. I just was desperate to get it done. Tattoo wise its not perfect at all yet but its enough to tide me over for a year or so.

Yesterday I stayed home from work, ate a lot of protein and too many carbs but fuck it-- and chilled. Slept probably too much --about twelvish hours last night. Now I have a stiff back but it was one of those sleeps…well, Nigel didn’t even mind so i will take that as a sign it was needed.

SO! Now I have nothing but time to devote to getting things squared away and on track! Starting with squats…and pull ups…and good meaty things :slight_smile:

I will end up finishing this week’s sheiko way late. But I will :slight_smile:

And yeah, sometimes you just need to take some time off from the training. No biggie! I had to scrap all my accessories just last night and then was all tore up about it “but, but, I have so much to dooooo! And I need to get strong!” But you have to remember that the strength comes from recovery too. So let the body rest if it needs it, you’ll pick it back up when you’re feeling up to it! Don’t sweat it.

This isn’t a race. My Sheiko isn’t mon wed fri as he sets it up. It fits my schedual and time and energy.

N!! I am so happy I started this program, because now I know what to do when I get back instead of a mad rush to make up things! I think I’ll go sunday or monday. Body feels good I’m starting to get that build up of excitement to train!! However lady octopus doesn’t like squats just yet. Or bending over.

Also I’ve began to drink my proton electron shakes. Clotted heart Brutie went straight for the bread this time and the lack of protein wasn’t helpin.

gms 135x15 x 2 sets

i’m horrible and hate doing flies. and dips. so i reworked my squat a bit
135x5, 165x4, 185x3, 205x2, 210 all new wider stance. this will be a lonnnnng haul.

My squat rehab lasted a year Brute - patience :slight_smile:

So I am confused about your squat? Did your numbers just start going down, or what??

Spock-- Sorry!!! :slight_smile: I have been confusing about my back squat. I can still back squat with decent numbers, but my form is fucked. Some how I have a stupid skill of doing basically High Voltage Gm’s…that scrunch like squats.

So I am starting from scratch–this is the third time in my life doing this–and doing everything new. Wider stance and toes out compared to narrow dance toes in. So I am retraining my hammies and ass to do work as apposed to lower back and abs and quads which seem to dominate before. I will try and find an example of me squatting each style so you can see.

So for years I was doing squats heavy but not to depth, then it was deeper but more gm’im. Three times a charm I hope.

I apologize for being a bit of a lazy reader, but have you ever done box squatting? That was the single most effective thing that ever happened to my squat.

I had the uguliest, good morning esq. squats ever, and I box squatted for like a year straight and now squatting seems to be the only thing I am doing right, Lol>!

Spock!!! I have NOT box squatted more then once, and I have heard its excellent for repairing bad gm sq. I tried last week for the first time but my boxes were the wrong height. I will most defintatly try again now that you say it helped!!
