I also like doing deficits with 25’s but it does seem like a long way up doesn’t it?

Nothing wrong with the view!! :slight_smile: lol I do think you’re a little wide. Probably losing a lot of body tightness in VAST distance covered by your appendages.

If it’s your legs, check out this old video of Kara Bohigian. Don’t read the comments though. They make me want to cut my neck. She has a very wide leg stance but it may be due to a knee problem.

The corkscrewing isn’t too bad…but you’re ditching the tightness in your back and bringing your butt up ahead of everything else. That’s what I noticed.

Your hand grip on the bench is pretty damned wide. You could probably bring it in about an inch or two. Leg placement depends on your comfort level. Loved the view, though! (shameless perv…lmao!)

I haven’t done deficit deads since training with Bre at her gym. The heaviest plates were about the size of the 25s. Good times…drawing a small crowd and being called a gorilla and all.

I have nothing constructive to add because I am still a NooOB, BUT I will say this, AHHH i love Kara Bohigian so much!! She is the first female powerlifter I ever knew anything about and she is the reason I wanted to get into it in the first place, tear

Hmmmm. I do think I raise my butt up faster then anything else on my squizods. HMMM. This just makes me want to train them entirely different–new environment, everything so I’m less likely to stick in old ways. I think how I did them on weds will be my new place. Turned around, different rack. HMMM.

In a way the deficit deads are the same, since they are different in set up, I feel like i want to do them better if that makes sense. HMM. HHHHHMMMMMMM I’m curious as to what i can do with those wt wise…

Thanks for all the tips on my bench as well :slight_smile: Today I did closer placement, its still benching and its horrible but we’ll see. I do think my arms can go waaaaaay wide.

week 3 day 3
front squats 115x5,135x4, 155x3 x 2 sets, 185x3 x 6 sets. These were tough. But I tried my best
benching 75x5,85x4, 100x3 x 2 sets, 115x3 x 6 sets…whoops forgot to do 7 :{
gm’s 135x5, 145x5,155x5

I was running out of time so i tried mp’s. I’ve done mp’s a total of about 3 times in my life. Its so hard to not push press…so yeah, anyways I suck at them. did 65x5, tried 85 and no. I had to go so still need to do flies and those mp’s and the last of the gm’s some other time.

CoG = Centre of Gravity.

I also have some Kara love. I remember watching videos of her when I first started lifting and thinking how inspiring she is.

…however I have a sneaking suspicion my hammies just look that way. I’ve body builder trained them in a sense forever! I used to do lunges–in the hundreds–for years, every day. And high/not parallel squats for years everyday. It ok with me cuz I like em but I think they aren’t as strong as they appear…

Bruti, your hammies aren’t the issue. Especially with all the volume you do. I’d say work on the lower back, and focus on keeping that booty poked out. Yes…stick that thang out!! lol. It’s a cue I keep in my head as I get down in the hole.
