Brute's Book

dead lift day :stuck_out_tongue:

225x15 with the t-bar, 225x12, x7–i went back and forth between regular bar and tbar stuff.
225x11,x10,x10,x7,x7,295x1, 305x1,and about 60% of 315 --this is all regular bar stuff

good mornings 115x8 x 4sets
reverse alterating lunges 95x12x 4 sets
some hyperextensions with a 45# 3 sets of 8
tried the reverse hyper machine and like it ALOT. no weight added but after doing one set of 8,my lower backfelt alot looser almost immediately …nice:)

nice deads.
How long did it take you to get to 300 (from when you started)?

good grief…does your 225 feel how my 185 feels? like sorta how 135 now feels?(easy)

still 225x12 at that, sheesh!!

How long do you rest between?

oh goodness…deadlifts are hard for me :frowning: SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW gains, Alisa. I’ve been ignoring them for years only doing themmsperatically, only this past year have i really given them any proper attention, and i’ve stalled out on getting higher #'s,i’ve only gotten more reps, not sure why yet!

thanks MIHD:) i get all happy and go about two sets per song,

I had to log in just to tell you that I loved your front squat video. You have the down part nailed. Up needs work. Ha. I think you did what I usually do when I fail a squat. You lost tension at the bottom. It made me want to try front squats again and then I remembered I hate them  Very impressive. I wish more people would post blooper videos. We all have them. It makes things a lot more fun.

Impressive deads!!

I just tried out some push presses last night - 105 is serious weight!

Great stuff brute.

thanks ouroboro! i hate them too! …and i have ALOT of blooper videos!

thanks masherano!! I hope you like push presses,i do,makes me feel all macho–even though they can look a bit ridiculous

Good pressing and pulling over here. I’d LOVE to try a reverse hyper machine, but alas…

x2, but my gym DID get another ab machine. Just what we needed. ← killer sarcasm, even if you’d picked up on it, I felt the need to point it out.

i do enjoy my double gym access…

the last few day were kinda frustrating but all in all ok i suppose. No real accomplishments but i’m uninjured so there is that. …still re-learning the squat–which is frustrating but it is what it is :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve noticed a change in my temperament and body and stuff the last 18 months or so due to various factors and events, but the end result is making me feel like i am taking longer to recover from workouts–which never seemed to happen before.

I keep forgetting i’m even legal, though i’m 28 now, maybe that is a factor. BLAH! That and my spastic sleep patterns…i got a million excuses/reasons, but whatever. I think i need as well to reevaluate working out, i tend to go all for glory sometimes in stead of looking at the big picture later on. I’ve got a history of workout madness craziness, so there’s always that to consider, but word.-

monday:
relearn squat week three
135x5,155x5,175x5, 205, 225, 230 then some 135 for a few spastic pause squats.
step ups- 95x6 x 3 sets those bastards are difficult to coordinate
one legged squats with a barbell–again hard to balance!- bar x 6 per leg x 3 sets, 65 x5 per leg
reverse hypers no weight added 4 sets of 12

i ordered my fantastic singlet  ahhh!!! awesome --i can’t wait to wear it around walmart…maybe under my clothes…maybe over my clothes.

  • over and take picture

Yeah, those singlets are SUPER flattering. I wear mine out dancing most weekends. Well, they’re more flattering than the squat/DL suits. Seriously nasty stuff.

I was shocked the first time I said, and meant, “I’m not angry with him, not at all. Just… disappointed.” I immediately had cookies and milk to make up for it.

good work on that deadlift PR - and those overhead squats are freakin killer!

'Sup, Sindie…kicking ass, as usual? Singlet pics, please…
