When you lift that much weight, you’re allowed to be vocal.
Now when you’re squatting what I squat, it would seem kinda silly to make any noise at all.
snapper , you have NOTHING to be less then proud of, and also very high standards for yourself–which you should be proud of to!
oh what a waste of gas to the gym today. i did a whole lot of nothing. really,i did benching 125x3x 2 sets, then 2 single sof 135 so that’s exciting. and then i left.
just one of those no start days. I blame the bread i had yesterday. i’m swollen as all get out from the carbos…but also in a really pleasant chill mood. stoned on challah.
Just so you ladies know, although I wouldn’t wish this place on any of you, I do wish you were here so these weak, lazy ass females could see what they are capable of. The mere mention of “weights” and they run screaming. Or they look at me and think they’ll get as big as me. Truly a shame… Keep up the good work, and Brute, I’ll be watching your vids prior to all of my workouts! You train with about the same volume I do! That is pure awesomeness!

We all have our wasted days. I had one yesterday too. Do you have any kind of pre-workout rituals that help you pump up?

yep, Hallowed. I’m usually low carb and the carbs i get usually on the weekends are fruity…that freakin bread was good but i still feel lazy and swollen.

These are very pretty looking to my eyes and they look easy as crap. I like the grunting. The last time I did that with any appreciable volume was a set of 10 snatch grip deads on the fifth set. They freaking kill me. It was at a commercial gym and I don’t think the guy near me knew what to make of it. That’s okay.
I watched the squat video and the back rounding looked to me like fatique. You didn’t look like you were arching hard enough or had the stamina to hold a tight back. I feel like that when I’ve done a lot of sets because the set up wears me down. You are strong as an ox and I don’t think you are anywhere near tapping where you will.
Squats require a lot of mental concentration, for me anyway - I’m constantly thinking about “tight abs, knees out, back arched, head up…” ugh. I’m not really built for squatting so I have to think about everything. It’s mentally exhausting!

I was using these little 1.25kg weights to stand on for the last month… until today. I realized the reason I was falling over backwards all the time while squating was because I wasn’t sticking my ass out enough. I was actually attempting to tuck my pelvis in for whatever reason (subconscious fear of being anally raped at the gym?) After analzying the angle of your hips in this video, I was inspired to try squatting again without the heal lifts. It worked. So thanks. I’ll try to post a vid at some point in the next six months. got to upgrade my socks first.

Buahahahaha! I lolled at that subconscious fear. For me with squats it was all my little girl ballet training pelvis tucked pelvis tucked pelvis tucked. Squats go against all of that. I do lots of weird budha belly gorrilla chest shit to get over it.

one legged squats 95x10, 105x9, 115x7, 125x6, 135x5, 145x2, 155x1, and a fail 165 :{ i couldn’t help it i had to try. then 115x7,x4
then i hit a wall and called it quits.
do you take supplements?
also, we’re pretty much the same size i think. You still have 10kgs on me…but maybe not for long.
