cbear is 100% correct you ladies have no reason to put yourselves down at all:

most of you have no coaching

no spotter

work out at a shitty gym

have slim to none lifting experience

this country has a horrible physical education program (horrible for men extra horrible for women)

if you did play a sport you only played the sport you did very little ggp other than run and shitty push ups and crunches

you are still learning how to do the basic lifts (i learn something new everyday so don’t feel bad)

but you still show up and bust your ass

I have been lifting for 20 years

i have lifted competed and been coached by some of the bet in the world.

ever time i lift i get coaching ( and yes I get corrected and yes I forget to squaeeze the bar) and have a spotter

i film everything and review it and see how i can improve.

even with all of the about ^^^^^^^^

still:

I have days where i look like i have never lifted at all.

at least once a year i have to go back and reteach myself the deadlift. And do exercises that help me get my hips to fire

twice a year i go up and see my good friend Jim Wendler and he helps me with my form and my coaching and yells at me.

That’s why I try and help out as much as I can. I admire you ladies and how hard you work …

Great job

Jim

It is a battle between you the bar and gravity and time. You might as well smile and enjoy it, if you don’t life is too short find another hobby  !!!

thanks for this! i hope i can say the same …“been lifting for 20 years” i really appreciate your imput and experience!

thanks kimba!

Lifting is def an activity that you can do for a life time. I am more than happy to help when I can. If I had a dollar for every person that has helped me over the years I would be a rich man … So helping out where in can is being a good weightroom citizen.

Glad your doggie is better

The word “jealous” just doesn’t do this feeling justice. Lucky, lucky, lucky. Make the most of it!

HUGE PR’s to come for u

the curls behind you are a joke!lol

Go, Sindie… I miss your Sponge Bob shorts…

Killer squats!

Glad your pup is doing great.

 thanks!!

always told u about the knee thing. to bad none of these people have seen you squat 1200 reps with 90lbs on your shoulders or do 75 sit ups with a 45 on ur chest.

:)!!! hey there!!!

Looks like I missed a lot. Awesome on joining the powerlifting gym - you’ll fit right in there. And hang in there with the upper body stuff. I’m like that with my squats - I suck at them now but I will master those fucking things if it kills me.
And talking of squats - nice job (nice legs and I love the tatt). Oh and still lolling at the backbend/curl guy behind you.

Glad your dog’s on the mend - I hate it when pets get sick. Newfs are great - post some pics!

yesterday and friday i didn’t do much training wise which is typical for the begining of my work week, i did cardio and swam on friday. its been years since i swam, i forgot how hard swimming is…no cruises or boats for me ever…cuz if the ship goes down, i’ll never make it.

tomorrow or later today i’m heading to the new gym to monkey around with the new toys…atlas balls :)!!!

results of first day at new gym, fantastic

…bad news however, i gotta rearrange my sleep schedule to be able to actually work out with these people. The time they all go is when i’m usually sleeping…blah. sucks to be night dweller sometimes :frowning:

So Monday i just hung out as long as i could in the afternoon before i had to go and go to bed, BUT i did try out the safety squat bar, and am most excited  And i did manage to see a few giant Bulgarian dudes, yeah, Bulgarian dudes squatting with gigantic asses…pretty cool !!

monday’s:
front squat 95x9x 5sets, 115x8x2sets, 135x6x3 sets, 140x5, 145x5. and some hanging leg raises.

tuesday’s: just some cardio.

Re: RMLC Oh that’s so awesome! I went there to watch the meet they sponsored in December and pmpm was judging. They seemed really nice and I am definitely going to check it out. I think several of the crazystrong guys were from that gym.

cool!!! yes, i was there only for a lil bit when the whole normal crew was there and i was impressed, and happy to view the proceedings :)!

Umm…yaeh!!

Glad to see you like the new gym! Sounds like it will really invigorate your training - new toys definitely helps with that.
