Just so you know, I was showing my guy the videos you posted of your squats a while ago. You posted a few that were high. Shortly after you posted some that were deep as hell. He was really impressed with how they looked. You looked really strong.

a) remind the supervisor that you saved her ass. there’s any number of ways to do it, im sure, but the first i’d go with is, “I know you understand how crazy things can get after all you went through the other week, so i know you’ll understand me not being here the night before my meet.” its kinda not asking, kinda telling her you wont be there, and DEFINITELY letting her know she’s a cunt of the worst funk.

b) love your tattoo. not gonna lie, im a lil cringy at getting mine filled in on the two big roses on the side, but i’ll “word” your never ending tattoo feeling atm. im waiting till after my meet.

c) re: the family thing- want me to break someone’s knees?

hey cbear! OH MY GOD walking around for years in various states of not being done is how i seem to roll with dam tattoos. Finishing is so wondeful! --and so not even close :{ BLAH!

My fellow coworker ended up coming thru in the end for me and swapping days:) my supervisor…is…useless… I don’t care how it happened,all i care is i got my day off. :slight_smile:


going to try deadlift attempts today-no real solid idea what i will be able to acheive. My problem lately is my timing i think.

For the last few months,and before i screwed myself over and my back was fine, I was doing my maxes after cadio. I liked the warmed up feeling i had, but i am curious if fatiue had any sort of play on my results. so today its a few jumping jacks and whatever–then maxes. we shall see!!

What time is the meet? I might stop in, but I’ve got some stuff to get done before I go to PR. Do you know how many flights there will be, and if there will be multiple sessions?

hey pmpm!- i have no idea…i’m assuming its going to be the same as the last meet that you and i went to there. I’ll check it out and see if i can find out online.

I have been so exhausted this last week. Work is ridiculously busy as summer always is, and short staffed as well. I could really benefit from some time off but it is just not possible :frowning:

I tried some dl for attempts and I’m not really any further then i though I’d be.

I think I’ll just be a bit ballsy and just got for a 1st that i can get and the next two attempts will be surprises in all my lifts. I haven’t been trying any dl’s with circular plates–which could be an advantage–but so far my max has been hovering at 300. I doubt I’ll get better then that,even though my prior pr is a nice 320 and an ugly 325. Oh well.

benching shall be more of the same. Obvious lack of training on that even will show forth. My attempts will probably be starting at 115 and the next 2 will be a total surprise- just attempting whatever. Squats thesame–go for a 245-255 1st then just see what happens.

The meet is only on Sunday. I was supposed to work the scoring table on Saturday, but Jen contacted me to say the roster is so small because of the recent Raw Nats that all lifting will happen on Sunday. I plan to be there for at least some of it. Can I video your lifts to share, Brute? Also, don’t hesitate to ask if you need any help. And GOOD LUCK!

its just irritating! i mean i don’t really expect much at this meet. I’m not as strong as i was, but i still feel the need to just get it over with if that makes sense? BLAH. I’ll figure it out. I am resigned to do it!

If I were your supervisor and you told me you needed the day off to participate in a POWERLIFTING meet and express your general badassery, there is no way in hell I would turn that down. I guess that is part of the reason why I am nobody’s supervisor though. 300lb deadlift is nothing to shake a sneeze at. I really hope you get to participate!!
