squats bar, 135, 185, 225, 245, 265, 275, 285 FAIL. then 280, 285 - but it was just at paralell…i’ll get it!
285, 285, 225x5x 2 sets, a ugly set of 225x8. i think i’ll quite high rep squats. they end up looking like my old style so nah.
245x3, 250x3, 250x3, 265
over head squats 105x8x 4 sets, 115x8
reverse lunges 115x8 (total not per leg) 2 sets

Brute- I was thinking the same thing as K. about your back+the front squats…were you hurting the next day at all? but damn!! 200+ pounds?! sheesh…

at what point as the weight goes up do your elbows drop?

the soreness i felt for the front squat nasty was in my abs, and my biceps which lasted for about four days. the biceps probably from doing a weird push with it at the end to get it up.

…but it does look bazaroo so i think i’m going to be ginger with the front squats for a bit. i just get excited and try and add more and more. maybe i’ll do high rep front squats and stick to the low rep regular squats. i dunno

I’ve been slowly trying to loose some poundage…and i need to tweak my diet some because i am way too lethargic. I realize i have a good chunk of time still before the meet in july, but my body is pretty hard wired and it takes me a while to loose weight, and i want a safety bumper to work within.

i wouldn’t care that much really, but the meet is divided up into three days, so depending on my weight class i am i need to take certain days off work, and try and get someone who normally has Fridays off swap shifts with me–which is a pain. if i got into the 145-165.5 class–which i am hoping for, then i can avoid trying to rearrange my schedule and request time off etc.

ehh. i guess come closer to meet time i’ll have a better idea.

damn brute. teach me how to squat!
maybe someday I’ll squat that much. DAYUMN girl.

Brute, you don’t need to lose weight. But you were smack dab in the middle of the weight classes, right? I’m the same and it sucks.

why thank you mom in Md:P but i just want to be safely in the 145-165’s. Last meet i weighted in at 166.5…LAME!! I just want to have some wiggle room in that weight range.

Oh. In that case, it should be a super easy cut. Ahh, you’ll be competing against one of my buddies at Raw Nats if you hit the 148s. She’s pretty damn talented too.

hey snapper! yes, you are correct, i am right in the middle of two classes, not a big deal but the whole meet is divided into three days…i’d rather get in on the first!

ohhh…man…

yesterday was another draino day. ugh. But it was also useful because i did a max dead lift day, which is hard for me to do because usually my deadlift days i’m so excited i use up my energy anyways trying to do other things. so it kinda worked out.

dead lifts, 135, 185, 225, 245, 275, 295, 315, 325 yipee!!! it was ugly, but it was there. I will use this i think as a new max to figure out some stuff for next real deadlift day.

was going to just do cardio today but i got all riled up so i did some squats after.

i hate the benches at 24 hour fitness, they are really tall, hard for me to re-rack, but i did like three total bench presses so doesn’t really matter
