$4/lb? Man thats fucking crazy. Its about double that over here for the cheapest stuff I can find. Shit is so damn overpriced here.
You might try looking into ground hamburger for other sources of protein if the price is right, I’m not sure if that would be cheaper or not since you live WAY down south. You can always go with rice, milk, and pasta. That stuff is pretty cheap.

I can afford it. I have a hard time getting my protein in now with powder, too hard without.

I ate hamburger meat for a while, but I can’t stand it anymore. I don’t know about you guys, but after eating so much of the same food and forcing it down, there comes a point where I just can’t eat it at all.

I go through phases of the food I like. For awhile it was hamburgers cooked over the BBQ, then it was pasta with marina sauce and a lb or so of ground beef, then it was plate fulls of fish sticks, and grilled chicken breasts. The most staple items in my diet are oats, milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, and peanut butter. I’ll eat that stuff all day long, it’s what makes up the bulk of my meals that can get kind of boring. In the end it’s just another part of getting where you want to be though.

Anyone who has knee/elbow sleeves from elitefts have comments on their sizing? Thinkng about ordering some as the cheap ones I have suck an offer pretty much no support.

I’ve got their heavy elbow sleeves. Good deal IMHO.
I went and ordered a large size, thinking I would be able to grow into them some. On the website it lists the description for large as anyone who weighs 176-199lbs. I’ve had em for about a month or so I’d say and they are pretty damn snug. They have loosened up a bit but it’s a tight fit and I know my arms arn’t very big at all.

I’d almost recommend you get the XXL size so they arn’t a pain to take on and off. Either way, I would get a size bigger then what you would normally get. They feel great and offer tremendous support. Best 25$ I’ve ever spent.
This is exactly what I was looking for thanks man.

my supplement bill at the moment is

2-4 scoops of casein protein in the morning and another 2-4 at night
waxy maize during my workouts
dark matter straight after my workout

i’ve been making pretty good gain in size since adding this although ive been off it the past couple of weeks due to illness I’ll start doing it again tommorow, recovery seems to be good. I can’t drink milk that much anymore cause it causes me to get pimples and the shits, mum is also a skin nazi…if i have one pimple her world is ending. Casein is easy on my stomach same with the dark matter. Whey also seems to give me the shits aswell

JTG, new avatar looks good, starting to look like a bodybuilder buddy. Good job in the Olympia thread btw.

Guys, what does your fasted morning cardio look like?
I’m mainly thinking about intensity. How high does your heart rate go when e.g. taking that brisk morning walk?
And how hard should I be going for it to have an effect, combined with carb/fat cutoffs?

Very un-intense. The carb-fat cutoffs are pretty much a necessity for FMC to really be of use. A lot of guys swear by taking a bit of BCAA or Whey before FMC, but I think it defeats the purpose.

And, just take a fast walk around the neighborhood man. I would never know what my heart rate is. Just walk fast!

are you guys ever so hungry in the morning you cant stand to do cardio?
Hmmm. Well, I use to get pretty ridiculously hungry during the walks, but not so much anymore. I get more tired and fatigued than anything.

And the worst thing for me is my BDS (Big Daily Shit) is always right up wake-up. If I go before the walk I risk itchy bad-wiping syndrome, but if I wait until afterwards my entire abdomen is basically telling me to fuck off for about an hour.

thanks man - same thing too you. It’s been good at my gym lately consistently pushing up weights since the start of the year I’ve just been trying to up my weights and eat - not really caring what I eat it has added size but I’ve definatly added some fat, I may need to start doing some more cardio, shoulders/waist/calves I’m really insecure about atm lol

I’ll definitely second what JB said, JTG. Lookin solid as hell in the avatar.

or are you secretly Frank McGrath? haha.

Is that a VB top? haha, shit is fucking gross.

Looking good though man.

And what is Dark Matter? never heard/seen it.

Edit: Nevermind saw the ad for it on the MD video.

If it’s the one with creatine, it tastes like utter shit to me. I bought it once cause I was a bit strapped for cash and couldn’t pass up 10 dollars for a jug of protein. NEVER AGAIN.

Now I know why it was on sale over 50% off LOL…ughghhgg thanks for reminding me of that crap. get some from true protein or stick with dymatize, on, or grow whey:D…
Haha, yeah, it’s the “Super Advanced” kind with the added creatine/AA mix (they didn’t have a plain variety).

I usually get my protein in bulk at $4/lb (I’m sure most people here have a good idea where that is), but I figured this wouldn’t hurt as an insurance policy in the meantime. If it’s as bad as you say I’ll probably dilute it into my next bulk order.

I would LOVE to get Grow! (I used to be a Level 3 because of it… I was bumped to 0 a few months ago but don’t care enough to make an issue of it) but decided to take my business elsewhere after they downgraded from 5lbs/$32 bucks to 2lbs/$22.

I know, I know, “we supply the forums AND give you free articles!”… well, I don’t read the articles, and I’m sure I’d bump into all you assholes elsewhere if this forum didn’t exist

heavy ass RDLs got my upper back all sore n stuff

hoping it don’t mess with my heavy rack pulling today.

why not?

CAUSE IM JUST THAT HOT

so sick

we could do this ALL - NIGHT - LONG

Instead of studying for the SAT, I thought it would be a better idea to make a new routine

Monday
sumo dl- top set 3-5 reps
wide box squat- top set 6-8 reps
hack squat- 10-12 reps

Wednesday
BP- top set 3-5 reps
BB incline- top set 5-6 reps
rack lockouts- top set 10 reps
bent over overhead rope extensions- top set 15 reps
db flies- top set 8-10 reps

*is this too much? Is the exercise order alright?

Thursday
rack pulls- top set 6-8 reps
rack chins- top set 8 reps
db rows- top set 10 reps
shrugs- top set 6 reps

Saturday
standing mil. press- top set 6 reps
lat raises- top set 10 reps
db curls- 6-8 reps
pinwheels- 10-12 reps
concentration curls- 20 reps

Hopefully this is better?

shrugs- top set 6 reps (traps will be screaming after rack pulls have fun:D)
