Stuntman Mike - Possibly look into using those little sacks of chalk stuff that pitchers use? I’ve heard of guys using those before and just keeping them in their pockets so they can reach in and discretely chalk up.

The thing is, if they even see the residue it’s like an insta-ban. Happened to a friend of ours. Liquid chalk is 3.99 a bottle at Elitfts and lasts a month they say, so I might just look into that, or keep my straps. We’ll see.

Morning cardio: half an hour walking at 3.0mph and 8 incline - been my bread and butter for over a year.

Guys, what does your fasted morning cardio look like?
I’m mainly thinking about intensity. How high does your heart rate go when e.g. taking that brisk morning walk?
And how hard should I be going for it to have an effect, combined with carb/fat cutoffs?[/quote]

Very un-intense. The carb-fat cutoffs are pretty much a necessity for FMC to really be of use. A lot of guys swear by taking a bit of BCAA or Whey before FMC, but I think it defeats the purpose.

And, just take a fast walk around the neighborhood man. I would never know what my heart rate is. Just walk fast!

are you guys ever so hungry in the morning you cant stand to do cardio?

to everyone looking for stealthy chalk solutions, check out liquid chalk. it is fairly easy to find and no one has any clue your chalking up. a number of rock climbing vendors carry it.

http://www.rockcreek.com/products/listing/item13399.asp?ref=RCO_googlebase

it also has the added advantage of not leaving white dust everywhere. if someone asks what it is, tell them its moisturizer. it really is a shame all the bull shit we have to do to lift heavy slag.

was looking into this stuff, ever use it?

Awesome session this morning, seem to have moved on from the flu.

Decline bench in the smith
(120kg) 264lb x 8, 5, 3 (16RP) (up 22lb)

Hammer strength front shoulder press
(85kg) 187lb x 10, 5, 3 (18RP) (up 11lb)

Reverse grip bench in the smith
(105kg) 231lb x 8, 4, 3 (15RP) (up 11lb)

Wide arc pulldowns
(95kg) 209lb x 9, 5, 3 (17RP) (up 11lb)

Rack pulls from the knee
(230kg) 506lb x 4 plus one rep where I couldn’t lock the shoulders fully back (up 22lb)
(180kg) 396lb x 10 full reps

i have personally never used this brand but, i assume it would work perfectly. i have only used liquid chalk specifically intended for rock climbing. let me know if you end up liking it.

Dude, it is definitely not worth getting banned from your gym unless you have a major fallback plan. Just strap up for the time being or use liquid or whatever chalk that won’t get your in trouble, Cam.

Just sayin.

I just fell asleep for 2 and a half hours with the gf. Whoops. 4 days of exams starts tomorrow. So does my week of forced overtraining.

In the words of Ronnie: “Here… we… go!”

Anyone who has knee/elbow sleeves from elitefts have comments on their sizing? Thinkng about ordering some as the cheap ones I have suck an offer pretty much no support.

I’ve got their heavy elbow sleeves. Good deal IMHO.
I went and ordered a large size, thinking I would be able to grow into them some. On the website it lists the description for large as anyone who weighs 176-199lbs. I’ve had em for about a month or so I’d say and they are pretty damn snug. They have loosened up a bit but it’s a tight fit and I know my arms arn’t very big at all.

I’d almost recommend you get the XXL size so they arn’t a pain to take on and off. Either way, I would get a size bigger then what you would normally get. They feel great and offer tremendous support. Best 25$ I’ve ever spent.

Do you guys use any cheaper supplements? I can’t afford much, but I saw a whey protein powder thing for 14 bucks at walmart and it has 52 grams of protein per serving. I know the ingredients aren’t very high in quality, but do you think it’s worth it?

It’s better than nothing :).

Do calf raises in the leg press and with the squat bar on your back. Believe it or not getting your squat up will help your calves grow too, just from holding the weight as well as walking it out of the rack.

I knew I should’ve gotten it! I thought it was probably a waste. I’ll get it I guess next time. I could definately use more protein

Thanks and thanks a lot Austin for the advice. I’m definately gonna add in the stuff you said> I’ll post my new routine tomorrow.

No prob dude.

I actually bought some Body Fortress protein on a whim tonight since I’m running a little low on protein and needed a fallback.

I was worried about the quality, as well, but a quick look online shows people saying that BF and Met-Rx are owned by the same company and the BF protein is the same as the Vitamin World brand.

So, I’m not particularly worried that I just bought 2lbs of sawdust. Might not taste great, and it’s most likely got some lactose and other milk shit in there, as well, but mixed with whole milk in the middle of a bulking cycle - what’s the difference?

If it’s the one with creatine, it tastes like utter shit to me. I bought it once cause I was a bit strapped for cash and couldn’t pass up 10 dollars for a jug of protein. NEVER AGAIN.

Now I know why it was on sale over 50% off LOL…ughghhgg thanks for reminding me of that crap.

Since were talking about protein I get mine for a little over 4$ a lb. Can’t fucking beat that.

$4/lb? Man thats fucking crazy. Its about double that over here for the cheapest stuff I can find. Shit is so damn overpriced here.
