I’ll free weight squat from time to time (front squats mostly), if for instance I’m doing leg curls that day and no deadlifts for the week. My lower back turns to shit very fast and my lower back would have been bothering me a bit to much if I would have done say free weight back squats and stiff legged deadlifts in the same session.
Yet I admit I was thinking of doing safety bar front squats (been wanting to give these a go). I’ll do some heavy barbell work for ya next session copadre:D.

I’m not really sure how to fix it, but I’m wondering if the differences are somehow related to my tendency to turn my left foot out more when I squat/leg press, my tight outer hip, or any of my numerous other issues.

honestly not a lot. This last session was one of the only times doing any sort of ab work. I’m going to start adding heavy weighted ab pull downs. Would 2 times a week be suffice? I was thinking of doing them on every legs and shoulder/back session.

Yeah I just barely have started doing them now. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my inner sweep though from the few times I’ve done them hard. God I fuckin’ hate the DOMS you get from these though. I’m currently ramping up over half the stack.
Ha that would be hilarious seeing some one chain a dumb bell to that repping out with some grunting.

Yeah my right one is noticeably thicker when I compare them. When doing sldls, I get pissed off when I feel my right side taking over more. I’ve added a little more volume to that left side and I don’t even extreme stretch my right side anymore, cause I want my other side to catch up some.

i do them to
strengthen my inner thighs for squatting/deadlifting, especially since i pull sumo
and to loosen my tight hips. i think its the adduction one where the aim is to close the machine, well i start off really really wide on that, bout as wide is it goes then once i get in i can never get to that position again. i think i would need to put the 100 pound DB on there in addition to the stack in order to allow my legs to stretch that far out.
i dont care if i get looks though, im probably the only person in the gym who uses that equipment with a purpose. everyone else who uses it is a chick on the cellphone trying to do abduction on the adductor or vice versa with 2 stacks of weight with 30 seconds between reps.
