Hahahahahahaha have u never read any of his workouts? Girls don’t put up his numbers, none I’ve ever seen. I’d flip out if I saw a girl repping 450 deadlifts and shoulder pressing 90 lb DBs lol

Hey guys, where are thighs measured? middle of the leg or the top part (to include the bulk of the hamstrings?

Yeah, you should be.

Note: Rows for backthickness = on the positive: shoulders back, chest out, retract scapulae, as if you wanted to set up for a bench press or so. That’s the primary motion of the whole thing actually, if you have short-ish arms, that’s probably also going to be enough to get the bar to touch your abdomen.
And make sure you’re tight when rowing, flex butt and brace abs as if squatting, some movement from the hip joint is ok (just not from the low-back, that stays arched).

Just trying to toughen ya up Nancy

God I would be bored out of my fucking mind doing straight sets of 15.
Well, next time at least he can use more weight on the first set and possibly on the second as well and keep the third the same… At least then he doesn’t have to do the same boring weight for 3 sets
But then again I could probably do well to do some higher rep stuff. I dont remember the last time I did an upper body lift above 8-10 reps not counting rest pause.
15+ rep sets suck balls, especially if you’re trying to do them as an actual straight set, not like a breathing squat or quad widowmaker.

Actually, I hate everything above 8 reps because I’m a lazy bastard

i think you should add some weight and go heavier.

Honestly, I agree. Also is there a reason for the 3 strait sets now? Obviously you can train however you want, but I highly recommend ramping to a top heavy set (6-10 reps on most lifts) and giving it everything you have. Then if you want you can strip some weight and do a lighter set for pump…but this is all about progression man. And 3 strait sets of 15ish reps isn’t the best way to go about progression.
Don’t worry, he’ll be doing heavier work later in the week.
The BBB template is kinda fancy and all that with ramps and regular training phases and different rep ranges and whatnot, but it works well. As long as you’re not too strong for using a 2-way split over 6 days a week, that is.

Equipped PRs are something like 290/150/260. I should have had 290(or more) at my last meet, but thanks to some weight loss and new gear stretching out, I just didn’t get enough out of my suit to get me out of the hole there.

I don’t really have accurate raw maxes, but right now, I’m benching 95 for 5-7, can pull at least 225, and squatting about a plate 5-8 reps. The ankle set me back on all 3 lifts. Quite pathetic :(.

snorting some caffeine, shoved a Listerine suppository, blaring hanna montana in my rig…it was war. Got out of my rig, walked inside, fucked the guy checking cards, it was war. Went over to the bar, started loading it with deadlift, and a big samoan guy started giving me head then we declared war on the deadlift!

notes: i dont bother writing down all warm up sets, so it’s actually a little more volume then usual.

Hit 3 reps of the 415 touch n go, set it down, recouped, then hit it for another single (rest time less then 20 seconds). Nearly passed out from the rep, put it down and had to brace myself. Ahhhh the love of EC. Everything else went pretty smooth. Back felt great, weighted abz keep a rollin

Yesterday…2g…2mL Listerine…Rockstar Blue…300g of carbs…10 Years “So Long, Good Bye”…I declared war on my delts.

Went home, pounded some leftover Sushi, 4 Pop Tarts, my shake, a slice of veggie pizza, some turkey, and took a nap.

Alright guys. I really need some help/input. I think you know I wouldn’t put it here if I didn’t really need it.

I think you’re all familiar with my strange little hammie/calf-origin pain I’ve had the last few months. Remember this later.

New gym, means new machines.

Full ROM Hack Squat
25 ps x 8
45+10 ps x 4
45 + 35 ps x 2
2x45 + 25 ps x 10 (Fairly easy)

Leg Press Widowmaker
12x45 + 75 (615) x 19 *************************

Hammie Curls
75 x 8
137.5 x 3
200 x 7

DC Seated Calf Machine
25 ps x 12

*************** Okay. Now, when looking at the Widowmaker, it doesn’t look to be all that bad. Here’s a few things about this set.

1.) For the last two months or so, my ROM on these has decreased a little bit. It’s definitely not full, or too close to it. Today, with two different reps throughout the set (maybe reps 8 and 16 or something,) I went lower than my legs could handle and had to help push the weight back up with my hands on my knees. Not cool.

2.) I used a higher incline where my back lies than I’m use to at my old gym.

3.) My weird hammie issue was REALLY bugging me all day, and even some last night. I was trying to stretch it like a mad man, but to no avail, it still pained me, even when walking around.

4.) I am now doing Hacks, which I think will help put a lot of focus on my legs, because I’ve always noticed I squat with my hips mostly. Could this contribute towards leg fatigue on Widows?

5.) These had been progressing quite fine before this session - Of course, I am on a new leg press.

Okay, now all things considered, what do you think I should do with my WM Leg Presses?

I was thinking about dropping the weight moderately (maybe to 6 pps only,) and working back on getting full ROM and progressing that way.

Maybe I should use the same weight next session, but put back rest at a slightly-lessened incline?

I’m really thinking I should work on ROM, but I know this is supposed to be a quad-dominant exercise. I don’t want to say I’m only going like, five inches, hahah, but it’s definitely not “deep.” I’m using the high-and-narrow foot placement, for whatever it’s worth.

So, C_C especially, or anyone who has experience with Widowmakers (or WM leg presses,) or ANYONE who has any insight, what do you think I should do about this?

BTW, for those who don’t read the Training Logs, I’m at 224 yesterday.
