Brotherhood of Iron: Omega

Been damn busy lately, but still making progress in the gym for the most part. Workout yesterday was piss-poor because of running on 20 minutes of sleep, but today’s traps and biceps was great. I finally found a good workout partner, he’s extremely close to me in most lifts, so I’ve got some competition for a change. Looking forward to the next few months of progress.

Oh and on a sidenote, I finally have started real classes here in lovely Pensacola FL, and am that much closer to getting out of this hellhole.

Shoulders/Back
BB Military:
LT: 165 x 8/145 x 14
TT: 170 x 6/150 x 12
first set is 6-8 then 10-12. Going for 8 reps with 170 next time

DB Laterals:
LT: 40 x 10/35 x 13
TT: 40 x 12/35 x 15

Wanted to hit 11+ reps on these before going up to the 45s.
My arms feel DEAD after these. Not a bad feeling; just that really “light” or fatigued sensation in my delts

Cable laterals:
LT: 30 x 15
TT: 35 x 15

Rack pulls: work in progress

1 arm T-Bar rows: really like these. I don’t think i’ll ever go back to BB rows. I don’t feel the muscles working as much and my lower back is suspect.
LT: 2 plates x 15
TT: 2 plates + 10 x 16

seated cable rows:
LT: 150 x 15
TT: 157.5 x 15

I like these as a finisher for back thickness.

Lat pulldowns:
215 x 8

I might have to do these at the beginning. I’m torched by the time I do these and my numbers show. I loved these when doing DC (probably because it was the first back movement of the day and I had more energy) but they suck now lol. Gonna lower the weight next time.

Could you explain how your doing your 1 arm tbar rows? Is it anything like this vid?

That’s one way. I do them more like this (more upright back which I prefer):

updated my log, check it out here:

I feel like those are a waste of time and doing DB bench row would be just as, if not more beneficial.

JB, you bulking?

BTW, this is by far the funniest thread on the forums right now:

Wow, this place is slow tonight…

Viva La Revolution.

Really good session considering i was fasting

I had to train at home, couldn’t get to the gym

db shoulder press
50sx12…ok with these considering my entire back and traps were still very sore from thursday

lat raises
30sx30 rest pause (12+10+8)…these felt much better than when i do the 45s for 6. My form gets really crappy so I;m going to start here and build up the weight

alt db curl
50x20 rest pause (9+6+5)…last time I did the 65s for 2+2+1, but that was stupid so I’m going to build up on these too

concentration curls
35sx10…expected to get eight and got two reps more

pin wheels
50sx20 rest pause (13+7)

Overall it was good. The fasting didn’t bother me too much. At the time when I trained i hadn’t eaten or drank anything in 14 hours, but it didn’t seem to affect me too much.

Am i rest pausing too much on my bicep movements?

Yvanehtnioj, don’t rest pause the pinwheels. Dante says to do a straight set for forearm movements.

Thanks a lot! I’ll keep that in mind next time

Why would they be more beneficial?
Edit: also, even though my gym’s DBs go up to 200lb, this version obviously allows more weight.
Try it out, maybe you might like it.

Story time.

I went to bed around 9pm. I left the door to my room unlocked(we live in little trailers here so our doors open to the outside). About 1am I hear my door open. I feel someone get into my bed. It’s my g/f. Before I even say hello she’s got all her cloths off and her mouth on my cock.

I can’t emphasis how fucking bad ass middle of the night sex is…

What’s even more funny is the fact that she left my room around 8pm saying that she felt like we were spending too much time together…

This is further proof that the female race is FUCKING CRAZY. They are not right in the head…

So no one goes crazy on the Off Topic post:

From what I’ve seen forearm movements are straight sets, but I’ve also seen SlayerMetal7 RP his PinWheel Curls. But, he was using 145’s for them… A fucking beast! Look up his video’s on youtube. I wish my gym in Iraq was as good as the one he’s lifting at in some of those videos.

Also I have a question for C_C or anyone else who is pretty familiar with DC.
I know there are different levels of DC programs. Are there any variations of DC programs where you life multiple days in a row and then take a break? I have so much fucking free time and it’s killing me to lift every other day. Maybe there is a DC program that is 3 on 1 off? or something to that effect? Thanks for any heads up.

arent you in Iraq ?

Did you happen to nab one of the 5 girls over there ?

I think I might finish up this diet in a week or so. Then I’ll transition into a bulking diet over the coarse of one or two months. My pressing strength is taking a massive hit. (My smith high incline is literally down like 70 fucking pounds…)

Besides, I have a new girlfriend who thinks my body is “amazing” so there’s little motivation for me to get much leaner… Haha. I’d rather focus on putting on as much strength as possible at this point.

I should be able to settle in at a 32" waist by the time I’m done transitioning… Not bad considering I started at a goddamn 43" waist, lmao.

Vegg, girl ya met at the pool party ? Oh you stud.

PM me your real name if you have facebook, got something I wanna send ya

Any reason that forearm movements are mostly straight sets? is it too much stress or something?

I am in Iraq. And the ratio is about 100:1 male:female.

Guess I got lucky. She’s fuckin’ beautiful too. And likes to lift weights!

I’m not sure why forearm sets are SS. Maybe someone can chime in as to why they are?

She just wanted some of your man juice brother! Sounds like a great gal if you ask me hahaha.

Head over to IM, there is another DC split which is 4 days a week I believe. I haven’t looked into it myself but the info is over there, although I’m fairly sure Dante strongly recommends against it. Maybe you should look into a 5 day split or something different?

Damn, Pat, you must be man pretty like a muthafucka.
