Damn, after checking my form, it’s become pretty apparent to me that my lower back rounds when I get to parallel on the back squat. I’ve read around here that putting 10’s under people’s heels has helped, what are yall’s thoughts on that? I don’t have any mobility or flexability issues, I just think that’s just how I squat and I feel the back squat is a great exercise for me, so I want to keep it.

Checked out gym #2 on my tour of crappy local commercial gyms. It sucked, but not as bad as the first.
I just want a gym with round plates, a decent selection of machines, a deathmaster or rower, and some big motherfuckers. And none of this $200 enrollment bullshit. Is that really too much to ask for?
OHP 55x5x5
bis, tris, and rear delts
elliptical 20 mins

Thought this would be the best posing song ever. Definitely a song I’ll be practicing to and using when I compete.

So. I’m away for a few days and you guys max out the old thread and make a new one… Which is 14 pages long already.
Christ… Don’t you have lives away from the keyboard or anything ![]()
youre never going to find a merc gym with something called a “deathmaster”
just get into a decent gym and after you’ve been there youll start being able to figure out how to do other stuff with a little ingenuity.
for example my gym has a squat rack w/ catch bars but a power cage w/ pins…
so i do rack pulls by grabbing a shit load of cardio boxes and stacking them up.
just find a chain Golds or World (if those still exist?)
round plates are nice but you can still deadlift without them, i do. you spoiled powerlifter kids just don’t know how to be creative enough with standard gym equipment do ya?

Well when I get notifications directly to my phone and the majority of my posts are with my mobile phone than it does get hard to stay away from the keyboard.

Creative with standard gym equipment, no. As a powerlifter, my specialty is making lifting equipment out of shit that you buy from The Home Depot.
Here’s the thing. There is a fitness center on campus that is free. From what I’ve seen of it, its not great, but it will do. I want something that is closer, but I’ll only pay for a gym membership if I find one that is better than the one I can train at for free.
These places are nothing special (no chalk, no boxes, no specialty bars, no experienced lifters, no sled, no GHR) and cost just as much if not significantly more than both of my old gyms (and yes, even my commercial gym had those things listed). Call me spoiled if you want, but there is no way in hell I’m going to pay to train at a place that doesn’t have decent equipment and experienced lifters.
Austin, sorry bud, I never made it to the gym yesterday. Don’t think I’m gonna go for that max after all. Some personal things came up and I’m not gonna clutter the thread with my personal bullshit.
Keep doin what you’re doin everyone. I hope to catch up with the thread tonight.

I should end up with like 1.3 grand from that and I can rest easy for a month or two, it was well worth it. Back to the eating and iron today. I also decided to start a training log so feel free to check it out.
One of the reasons I did it is because this site has become boring/predictable as fuck outside of the BOI. Keeping a log gives me another reason to stick around.
Gimme your FB details ho…that will give you a reason to stick around herr[/quote]
I dropped you a line
