We are like almost the same stats wise across the board for the most part. Funny how that works. Maybe you could invest in some wrist wraps? I have some waiting for me at home (I thought I’d get em today… gonna be tomorrow) and maybe something like that would help.
I look forward to PJR’ing the 150. I just want some big FUCKING arms!
I have wrist wraps, I use them on Smith RGB’s and BB curls. Its weird how DB curling and trying to supinate it hurts my wrist/forearm pretty bad but underhand strait BB curling does not.
I just wrap my wrists and I’m good. I’ll just have to continue with that…“soon” I’ll be curling 225 for reps and pissing off everyone in the gym that can barely bench that!
I hate you for getting to PJR. Seriously the best longhead tricep exercise I’ve ever done…someday I’m going to seriously have to switch gyms for real and stop just talking about it, lol.
Edit: Wait, did you forget that I’m 5’10" and you’re 6’1"? lol

I wont be doing regular BB shrugs for at least a few months. Doing the Rack Pulls + Shrug at top of each rep currently.
Enjoy your reign! lol
Yeah, I probably won’t be doing them for a while either… I have to go back to the Y where there’s no straps. I don’t think I’ll be able to do 585 anytime soon anyway. 500 was so damn hard, haha.

Yeah… I haven’t seen any locally though, so I’ll have to order a pair one of these days.
I got mine from dicks sporting goods.
dunno if they do international stuff.
but they were like 6$ too.
and they are padded, so you dont get bruises and shit around your wrists after doing heavy BB work.
*First time doing these so stayed lighter. I’m expecting good progress next week here. Brought them down to the chin.
Cable Lateral Raise 1 Arm:
50x14, 8, 6 (28 RP) - each arm
DC Style Seated Calf Raise:
4plates x6
*Calves were being bastards, they felt tight and kept feeling like they were gunna cramp so I had to hold back. I’ll definitely do much better next week and on Saturday.
Note: Shoulder workout is super short this time around as I dropped BB Shrugs and Reverse Flies due to the Rack Pulls + Shrugs on the previous day.
question for the group, I’ve continued training but the biggest thing thats hampering my volume of my back sessions(even though I am still setting pr’s) is the pump i get in my forearms, every back session by the time I’m into my 3-4 exercise my forearms have a painful pump…anyone know anything too help keep them unpumped for longer?
i usually do this on my back day
lat pull down palms facing away
t bar row
machine shrugs
chest supported row
Try using some taurine with lots of water pre-workout (and during) and see if that doesn’t help with the near-cramping. It’s standard protocol for the alternative way of doing DC calves (on a threadmill, but I won’t go into detail now… You can see it over at IM), so it should help here, too (unless you were just plain tired or something).

Yeah, I tried these DC style calves raises on Tuesday. That is one of the most painful exercises I have ever done. I LOVE IT!
No session last night, off night because of my Microbiology class. One more freakin’ class left, I can’t wait.
I did learn about some cool worms last night though. They crawl out of your anus at night to lay eggs around your butthole and then crawl back inside in the morning. haha So, if you fellas ever wake up with an itchy anus, you might have Pinworms. Or, your butt buddy was too rough with ya.
