Brotherhood of Iron 2.0

Did some PT with other poolees and delayed entry people today, along with a couple Marines, and oh boy was it fun. Surprisingly, the running was the easy part for me…the calisthenics were rough, we just did so dang much. I’m glad I didn’t work out before I went, that’s for sure.

Now I have a better idea of how to train in preparation…hope I can make it for Thursday’s PTing in the future.

Awesome thread! I did a ME lower body last night, didn’t get the PRs that I wanted, and decided on 20 rep squats at the end as punishment.

I know the title of the video is DC Training/Pinwheel Curls, but I’ve never done them before so I wanted to check with some of you guys who do them first. Is that how they are performed?
Yup.
That video is referenced to a lot for proper technique.

Thanks, X.

It was only 35$ for the board and the dry erase markers.

I’m planning on hosting a powerlifting meet at my house (in my gym) for kids from my high school.

I wrote up the entry form and flyer.
I just need to make some final things and push the date back about 4 weeks but hopefully it will be a good time.

I just went around today and got about 15 guys saying they are interested in doing it.

I heard C_C swears by it too!

All I’ve read about it looks great, I’m definitely considering it and already using some of their techniques. (fasted AM cardio, carb cutoffs, triple rest-pause, extreme stretching, etc)
hungry4more wrote:

I did

88 x 5
115 x 5
135 x 5
155 x 5
175 x 5
200 x 4
209 x 2
135 x 20

My goal for Feb 1st is 275 x 2-3

I’m 5’9, hovering at 160-165lbs. BW goal for Feb 1st is 170lbs.

Hey, are you saying “NOOOOOOO!!!” to free food ?! I plan on spending my christmas at my family’s too, emptying their fridge.

X-bC: Hosting a powerlifting meet sounds real cool! Hopefully you’ll get a couple of them interested in lifting for real (not playing around at the gym, but getting more serious).

The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s just so dang overhyped…

/backs away from computer slowly, wonders is Scott M will take the bait.

Well, since I’m married I guess it would be more for the lady.

Yeah, I’ve read all the stickies at IM, I’m halfway through the DC thread in T-Cell Alpha, so I’m doing my homework. I’ve been wanting to give it a shot for a while now.

Dre if you need any help clarifying things you can email(not PM) me.

I, like Christian, feel that the BOI is overhyped lol

I saw this while looking at some of Justin’s videos, what do you guys think of the sissy squats he does in the begging, any good for quad development, i have been looking for something new to try.

He doesn’t do any sissy squats? That’s a hack-squat machine he’s using… We do have a sissy-squat-type quad stretch though.

Yeah, hack squats are a great quad exercise.
Edit: Make that “machine hack squats are a great quad exercise”. Free-weight hacks suck balls imo… At least if your goal is to become a rather large bodybuilder.
