i can crack my tailbone and glute area by squeezing my legs either in or out…anyone else ever do this?
Is that what that pop is? I was wondering about that. Lately I’ve been working on firing/squeezing my glutes while doing squats or deadlifts and every once in a while there is a pop in my ass area. haha
i dont know what it is either lol. but its been going on forever. like anytime i squeeze my glutes it just cracks. i guess its kinda like how you can crack your chest.

are you my long lost brother or something? cripes. my chest pops all the time.
Hmmm I never crack my glute area or chest area…but if I squeeze my shoulder blades together and flex my back I can pretty much crack from my neck down to my lower back. Feels awesome!

as soon as i got the tiniest amount of muscle on my chest plate this tension built up and it was actually really hard to crack but now i do it all the time. same with my glutes…i just did it now.
i also crack my left calf, on the right side of it.
and i can crack my hamstrings.
i dont know if “crack” is the right word but theres definately something happening as the result of pressure its like a crinkle or just a grkksh sound.
Anyways, it was an interesting experience.
I’m going to go ice now!
I’ve never done that before lol (seriously)
Have fun icing I suppose
I don’t think I’ve ever really iced anything either…
XB - as far as I’ve seen most HS football coaches suck when it comes to the weightlifting part. They either teach shitty form, or don’t teach about progression, or don’t teach the kids they need to eat a lot to get bigger.
There were 5 or 6 coaches in the weightroom, and maybe 15-20 kids.
All the coaches did was stand around and shoot the breeze.
One of my track coaches told me today that he wants me lifting with the football team and that I will get stronger if I do so.
I feel bad, because I know what to do to get stronger and bigger. I don’t want to say that to the coaches out of respect. But it’s just silly that they are “coaches” when they don’t understand basic weight lifting methods or technique.
I learned how to lift and progress on my own and that seems to be the best way for me to go.
And I didn’t ice, I took a contrast shower, I feel tons better.
I knew I wanted to lift today, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so I just went in and cobbled together what ended up being a back & biceps workout.
Kroc Rows
65 x12
80 x20
100 x15/15
Bent-over BB Row
135 x10
185 x6
205 x8/8
Squat Rack curls (fuck yeah you read that right!)
65 x8
85 x8
85 x6 +2
Pinwheel curls
35’s x10
45’s x6/6
I used a slow, controlled eccentric on these and really felt the biceps working to control the weight.
Eccentric-only Chin-up - 30 sec
Just lowered myself down from the top of a close-grip chin-up as slow as possible. I was shaking like crazy at the end.
Standing EZ-Bar curls
75 x12
10:00 fast walking on treadmill - 3.5 incline @ 4.0mph

lol … you editing my reply validates me being here … at least Live came up with something requiring wit … but I wasn’t trying to “troll” or whatever, just busting your chops … a little friendly razzing. It’s cool though

Thanks man.
It’s not much but it gets the job done that is for sure!
The only things I’m missing are a lat pulldown and a leg press/hack squat.
But I’m doing fine without those. I’d really like some
strongman logs too.
My training partner Sean gave me the 45 degree back raise, and I got 255lbs of olympic weights used from a garage sale for 45$, everything else has been Christmas presents from years past.
The only REAL thing that is a hassle are DB’s.
They’re so expensive with shipping to buy from the web, yet I go around to stores in my area and they either only have DB’s up to 50lbs which is the highest I have, or they have a single 65, 75, or 85lb DB.
Interesting day today. Met a guy that has trained DC since last september named Max, I guess he posts over at IM, not sure about his handle… anyways, he was cool. About 6’2" and I think he said he weighed 242. Big solid dude.
Anyways, bis and tris. My bis are slow to warm up cuz I think they’re kinda tight from back day usually… but yeah, good session.

I know the title of the video is DC Training/Pinwheel Curls, but I’ve never done them before so I wanted to check with some of you guys who do them first. Is that how they are performed?
