Today’s workout was a complete write off. I was literally stumbling around the gym like a zombie. It didn’t help that I had to go to the Family Y. Picture a gym filled with so many bench and curl monkeys that you can’t even navigate your way to a different station.

I started warming up on decline which I was REALLY excited to be doing… bar was great… getting psyched… throw a wheel on each side… and I unrack it… and what the fuck… there is kind of a sharp pain in my left pec near where it connects to my shoulders region…
Oh well, I thought. I’m sure it will go away. Threw on a 25 on top of the plate, got back under the bar. Unracked it. Controlled it down… that first press up hurt like a BITCH. Cranked out 8 then racked it. 225 same thing, stopped the warmup set short at 8. 245, got 6, it hurt. I’m getting nervous cuz it hurts really bad but I’m determined to fucking lift. 275 for my last warm up set. Solid unrack, a strong single… that hurt like a motherfucker. Racked it. Cried a little bit inside.
Tried to warm up on the incline DB’s. Same thing.
Worked calves and called it a day.
I’m really annoyed. Do you guys think it might be a strain? I feel like maybe when I was trying to grind out those military presses on Saturday maybe I tweaked something…

Ok I took a video of all my squats, and I used the same height box I did when I got 300x1 but all of em look high.
Do I need to use a lower box, or widen my stance out, or both? I did notice my speed off the box was pretty fast, for me anyways. I have a lot of technical stuff to work on with my squat. It sucks being 6’3. Either way 275x3 is a big time PR and 315 is a 15 lb PR.

And I did my single leg squats like you would goblet squats, as in only using one dumbell. Cause I’m a weak sissy girl.
After I got done lifting today I got to talk to these 2 huge guys that lift at my gym for a while. They are easily the 2 biggest guys and they are very nice, we talked about all kinds of lifting stuff…one of them gave me their opinion on quite a few issues. It was awesome.
One is trying to get up to 305 at 6’3" so he can cut down and compete at 265, which is his current weight and he is actually pretty lean as is.
Another surprising weigh in. Was expecting 214, maybe 215 tops…forgot to weigh until after my morning fasted cardio session, all I had before I left the house for my 30minute walk was 1 glass of ice water. Weigh in was 217 when I got home, didn’t eat first - just stripped down to my boxers and got on the scale.
Lol Bug…I think I just had a good growing spurt this week. We all know that growth isn’t linear, I was about 213 last week’s weigh in and I was not expecting to be 217 this week…I didn’t even really eat any more than usual or anything, it was just a spurt.
Also, last week was the first week of rest-pausing and DC style leg training maybe it triggered some rapid growth. Yesterday was chest and on the HS Incline I got 20lbs increase with 2-3 reps more total RP (I’m only doing the bottom part of the press though, I stop when I feel it becoming more tricep on each rep).
Interesting thing that happened this morning…I have been using my Vibram FiveFinger KSOs for pretty much all lifting, cardio, etc. This morning I wore my old regular sneakers when I went for my 30 minute fasted walk since its cold at 5am and the regular shoes actually hurt my feet now. lol
