I think I’m catching some of bug’s gheyness… Terrible workout today. Bench felt sooo heavy, even though this part of the program is still well below my max. Probably because I only got about three hours of sleep last night…

Notes: Pretty good session overall, I’m finally getting somewhat used to the volume.
Right after my first set of 205 on bench, I realized I’ve had about 800mg of caffeine and 75mg of ephedrine today. Today has been so busy I didn’t even realize I’ve had that much. After that I made sure to drink after ever set, and will be downing water the rest of the night. oops.
Bug has stalked me on facebook. I blame JB.
Me and JB will be taking notes from Push come tuesday, I’m actually excited to meet my second random guy from the internet.
joined a new gym today can’t wait too tear it up, went in today for back and bi’s session everything is pretty much in pounds. The girls at the desk were phenominal meaning I’m going to be more inclined not too miss a session. There’s enough weights and machines that the busy sessions there is no chance on waiting for something.

Hack Squat machine:

*60 second per leg quad stretch
Seated Leg Curl:
185x16, 10, 7 RP
*60 second hamstring stretch
Seriously love this style for legs, feels incredibly intense and I get a great workout without being in the gym forever. Hack squats felt good, will be keeping 10plates for the heavy set next week and shooting for 7+ reps. Plan to add another 20lbs to the 20rep set.

So I think the seated leg curls irritated my knees. They are kinda sore when I left my leg up like pulling my foot up toward my ass, but if I do a squat they don’t hurt so I definitely don’t think its the hack squats that did it.
Also when I was doing the hacks my knees felt good, they felt kinda weird when I was doing the seated curls last night. May switch to lying leg curls…
My max was 265 at july/august, so when I started Sheiko I set my max at 275 because I’ve heard the bench is too easy. Even with the higher max, I’ve had to bump some numbers up, and I’m fairly confident 275 and 285 will go up next week. Then its only 1-2 more cycles before I get it.
My (huge) goal is to have a 3/4/5 before I turn 19 on Jan. 5.
If I get everything I hope for next week, Ill be at 280ish bench, 365ish squat, and low to mid 400s on deadlift.

I never liked seated leg curls… Interestingly, people over at IM usually recommend guys who put seated leg curls into their DC rotation to switch to lying or do a different exercise… (DB leg curls can work quite well, btw)

Ok thanks for the info. was hoping you would see that post and chime in. I’ll swap them back out for lying leg curls instead…my knees are killing me today and I know for a fact it was not the hack squats.

As soon as I got off she looked at me and was like “OMG, your eyes are so fucking red!” I walked over to the mirror to look and it seriously was like my eyes were bleeding, lol.
Honestly I’ve never seen anyone at the gym use more than 4plates+25s (that’s total, not per side) and even then it was for like 1/4 ROM reps. Most the guys seem to stick to the leg press with the same 1/4 ROM reps…lol Guess the hack squat machine is just too humling for the ego lifters.

Maybe I’ll have her come with me and tape it next Monday…plan is to hit the same 10plates but for at least 2-3 more reps. Should be just as much or even more intense, lol.
