Wow, 41lbs! It sounds like Laurie takes responsibitity for her actions and has great determination. You will definitely go far in this and other aspects of your life. Keep it up!
Come on guys, help me out here, I want to see this thread 100+ posts long. Help me support
this woman on her quest. Next installment
details work outs and a whole lot more.
BUMP - BUMP - BUMP!!! Brock
Keep it up Laurie. You’re doing great, and making my girlfriend say “WOW”!She won’t be making excuses, and is intesrested in fat fast. You have a goal,go get it.There’s only one thing that will outweigh your hard work,THE REWARD!
Good job Laurie. I lost about 87 pounds a year ago and it feels great to see some of that muscle under that fat.
There was a really great question from T-Vix in Training about her thyriod medication. Can you guys help her out? I’m interested as well.
Laurie, I just want to congratulate you on you success, and offer some encouragement. You’ve already done what most people can’t or won’t do: You have taken responsibility for your situation and are in the process of remedying it. Congrats, and keep your eye on the prize!
Laurie, you are an inspiration to us all. I am very anxious to read about the level of your success, since success is already certain.
Great job Laurie!! 41#'s that’s damn impressive. I’m awaiting anxiously the rest of the article and the pictures…Keep it up!!
Great job, Laurie! When it gets real tough, remember how good you will feel, how great your “fit” clothes will look, how healthy you will be and how inpiring you are to so many others. None of us will let you stop now! We know you can do it with great support from Brock and everyone else. Your life will never be the same and you will be mentally, physically and emotionally stronger than ever. There is NOTHING you can’t do that you set your mind to! And let me tell you from experience that nothing tastes as good as being fit feels - sliding on those jeans that fit perfectly - it feels awesome, girl! And before you know it, you’ll be doing the same! All my support to you!!
Do you not fear a ketogenic diet is not a lifelong diet. Discontinuing the diet would result in Rapid fat gain, no? Also what should be done to the flat muscle look that this diet will cause. I hate to be old school and bring up Arnold but wouldn’t a diet that staid just above the Ketosis line be better in the long run, teaching restraint and not quick fix?
Big time UPS!!! Way to go!
Go Laurie, Go!
Your actions are inspiring. It is a welcome change to read about someone demonstrating commitment, sacrifice, will power and determination! You know, the things we try to convince ourselves we always show. Laurie you are not only helping yourself, your example is a warm light that we can feel and see and try to keep lit by being more positive and determined in our own lives. Thank you for doing this.
No, Brock would obviously work on bringing her off the diet slowly. A keto diet only leads to rapid fat gains if you go back to the same way you ate before. As far as restraint, if she sticks to this diet, that would take Real Disipline.
and the flat look doesn’t matter. She’s trying to lose weight, not compete. Besides, once a regular diet is introduced, her muscles will fill out.
Kudos, Laurie–I admire your dedication. You can do it. I look forward to your progress updates–and maybe even a little inspiration. Please keep us updated on your process/progress.
I do have a quick question. If you started at 250 lbs, following Brock’s calculation, do you eat 2060 calories a day? I did a fat fast a while back (I weigh about 200) and consumed about 1300 calories. I wonder if my calculations were off.
Keep up the good work!
Kelly
Brock and others, Where can a 265lb woman get a copy of the fat fast for woman diet and exercise plan from. I am currently using the Lyle Mcdonald Keto Diet book to do a CKD. Week 4. I read about Brock’s fat fast experience and would love to do it my self.
Please let me know where I can get more info, and get in on the fat loss. I have about 95 lbs to lose, and any that I can get off quickly would help.
thanks, rosie
Rosie, I wish you well in your fat-loss endeavors, but I feel compelled to tell you something. The Fat Fast will melt the pounds off very quickly, but it takes INCREDIBLE discipline to stick with and cycle off of correctly. If you try it, you’d better be ready mentally. Good luck, and keep us posted. Oh, and I think that the info you want is available in last weeks issue of T-Mag, but it may be forthcoming. Check it out.
I am really impressed with Laurie being able to loose so much weight so fast without having to amputate a few limbs. I think Brock should also take a skinny bastard and try to put on as much lean mass as possible in a year or so. Just an Idea…
Couple of things…keep this going, Laurie
is getting depressed and discouraged but she
said this thread is really motivating her.
So let’s get more support here. We will take
some intermediate pics pretty soon when she
hits 185# or so. She needs your support so
T-Family, lets see it. Let’s rock and roll.
I will detail her workout next update in "Useful Stuff". If Laurie can do this, all of you can too. I have faith in all of you that you can achieve with some will power and sweat equity.
My next project after the summer is to take a skinny bastard and turn him into a hulk using nothing illegal, just diet and supps. Stay tuned!!! :-) Brock
