rfstef2~ online communities have been great for me. I dont have any IRL friends that lift so it allows me to connect with other likeminded people. Everything I have learned thus far has come from online communities! Also everyone (mostly, lol) helps everyone. Its encouraging and inspiring.
Anyone else get insomnia or at least really poor sleep abilities around 4 am? For the past month I wake up around 3-4 and never fully get back to sleep. I dislike.
I am wondering if I need to start posting my logs in this forum? One reason I joined TNation was to connect to other female lifters. That sounds dorky, but I am moving near Chicago in August and will be gymming it alone for the first time in a really long time. I was thinking it would be fun and motivating to get involved with other lifters and their progress as a proxy for a gym buddy. I browse around and most people seem pretty nice and normal. Not what I expected.
If the sleep issue doesn’t resolve, I can send you some psychoeducational material that might help. I am finishing up my degree in clinical psych and have worked with several clients who had sleep problems so I have some good resources.

Yeah, I do those types of things and it doesnt seem to help. If only we could turn off our brains huh? I read a saying once that went something like… when you are little you are afriad of the monsters under your bed, but when you grow up you realize they live in your head. Something like that anyways, lol.
~cheers!
That is my exact problem. No off switch for the brain. And good saying. I’m stealing it.
Might want to through a horizontal row into that pull day also. If possible.
Had some whey and water on the way out the door this morning then got side tracked before I could make it to the gym. Todays workout was brought to you by fumes in the tank, lol, and the numbers reflect it!

Felt super weak with this. Workouts have been later in the day and we have been doing lots of deliveries as of late…before this workout the hubby and I delivered two sofa beds that we had to hand bomb quite a distance. I think I am played out before I even get to my workout
On a positive note, the man we delivered the sofas to asked my if I was training for a body building comp
