BP Journey: From Under 200 to 500

I just posted a full ROM 465 lb bench press Knumb nut.

I’m willing to bet you don’t do much upper back work. Am I right?

Hey sufiandy

Actually I’ve posted a full range 465 free weight max and a 505 from the halfway point (71/2 inches as my total reach is 15 inches) for reps of three

So to avoid idiotic postings from a wannabe who is a “fan of heavy lifts” Go trash someone elses thread.

I’m looking for guys like maraudermeat who don’t just talk big, but actually bench big.

Thanks

–Bench

I dont think 465 or 500 lb raw is impressive either. This maudermeat dude is benching over 700. That is friggin crazy.

Thank you that is all I wanted to see. When I went to reply your video was not there so there must have been a short delay.

As stated repeatedly I didnt want to do this without a safety catch. I’m assuming that you can read. I did it anyway.

Pretty foolish on my part actually.

As in?
benchaholic wrote:
I have been doing relatively consistent benchpress for almost 3 years. I am 45 years old and a novice lifter. Three repetitions from the halfway point with 505 pounds isn’t too bad for an older guy like me (I would assume) anyway, hopefully in some small way I can help contribute. My goal is a full range 565 pound bench press before the age of 46 and ultimately a benchpress of at least 600 pounds. Not sure if I can do it, however, given the fact that I was barely able to get 200 pounds off the bar three years ago shows a little bit of progress (lol…) any pointers or suggestions by knowledgeable benchers would be greatly appreciated, respected, and certainly invited.
KEY STATEMENT: “…any pointers or suggestions by knowledgeable benchers would be greatly appreciated, respected, and certainly invited.”

Full ROM 465 lb RAW. Against my better judgment I did this by myself at my house without a spotter. I know my form has to stink. Id still like to see some of these other guys (ie Dixie) put up a video too. So far I see maraudermeat with a mega impressive 720 x 1.
lol passive aggressive much?

I’ll be damned, you put up a video. If it seemed like I was calling your bluff earlier, its cause I was. Most people who say that there will be a video never ever produce the video. Good job, you are right, the form is off but you have a base to work with. Talk to Meat about form, not me, I learned by watching him and Dave Tate.

As to my video, as stated, I do not own a video camera BUT I do have a still photo of me mid rep on my training log. Should I ever purchase a video camera on my PLS income, you will be the first to see the video, promise.

Dude you’ve got to be kidding me. I teach torts (intentional torts, negligence, products liability, strict liablity) and contracts. I also help law students who are sitting for the California State Bar. What ABA law school are you attending?(You dont have to tell me)Did you have any challenge writing in IRAC form? If you didnt notice i was setting you up as I would in a deposition and you are correct, that would be categorized as passive agressive. Being too ballistic in a depo is a sure way to shut down a plaintiff or defendant making your job tougher as the deposing counsel.

Ive never heard of PLS but indeed I feel your pain.

P.S. Sorry man wife is off limits. I posted her in a thong one time and everyone went ape in the sexy wives thread. Too stinking freaky. She keeps my T level up though.

Wow that sounds backwards. If heard of FIRAC but not CREAC. Your Profs know what they are doing though. Good luck on your studies. Keep in mind that FY law school is always the toughest. The first year they scare you to death, second year they work you to death and third year they bore you to death. What area of law are you planning on practicing?
