Hi-
I’m pretty excited I just started BJJ, Muay Thai, and boxing and am loving it. I am wondering if anyone has any books or whatever they have found to enhance their training. Obviously a good coach/coach’s is important I am asking more about anything outside training that has helped you learn the techniques or even history of a skill or art.
For example I ordered Bazilian Jiu-Jitsu: The closed guard by BJ Penn and Mastering Jujitsu by Renzo Gracie.
Also if you notice the books spell Jujitsu differently does anyone know why that is??

yeah, i think i’ve seen in jujitsu, jiu jitsu and some other ways…not sure what’s right. i took Japanese in school, and technically, it’s not spelled correctly (as far as their current alphabet-katakana is). i think it pre-dates their current writing system, so to speak, so that’s why there’s different spellings…
btw, here are a couple threads we’ve discussed some martial arts good books/authors:
Oh okay great thanks for the links. I tried to search, but couldn’t find anything.
