Books by Old-Time Strong Men

Are any of you knowledgeable of strength books by Old-Time strong men? I was looking over on Hine’s site http://www.superstrengthbooks.com
and thought I might want to purchase a couple. Any of them really worthwhile (in terms of training tips, not just for historical/nostalgic reasons?

Pretty much all the ones I have are available free here -

Some of the odd lifts are fun to do but nothing that’s really transformed my training.

Some of these books gave me a greater respect for these old timers.

Regards
Chris

Yes they are worthwhile, I have several books from the old-timers. and again it depends on your interests. If you really want to learn the older lifts that aren’t done much nowadays, then these books provide good descriptions.

in Peoples’ book I got lots of good ideas on neg deadlifts, he had a hydraulic lift to help with the set-up.
