This is weird. but at the very top of my shoulder, i have a bump that has grown, like a bone spur. it hurts like hell sometimes. i originally i just had shoulder problems, but i know it’s that “bump” on my bone… i can press down on it and it hurts… does anyone know how to get rid of that ?
Have you checked with your physician? The only thing I can think of would be surgery. I dont think there are any “make your bones soft enough to go away” supplements. Thats essentially what a bone spur is, isnt it? Just a cartilage growth on your normal bone? I could be wrong, of course. It may also be a fatty tumor. They run in my family, and they suck. They are just painful bumps of tissue from what I gather. All that blabbing aside, check with a qualified physician, cuz I think surgery may be the best option for getting rid of it. But surgery is a big thing, ya know? Good luck!
Sounds like a mild separation of your acromioclavicular joint - where the shoulder blade connects to the collar bone at the top of the shoulder. If you let it heal (no benching and no dips until you can do them without pain) it will stabilize and gradually go down - but not completely and it will take lots of time. I blew mine out about 10 years ago and the joint is till rather iffy.
yeah, i realize that i’d have to get cut on to get rid of it, it’s that i just have crappy insurance. i don’t really care to get operated on, i’ve done it before on the other shoulder. i’m just blindly hoping that there’s an easier way… thanks for the response !
THANKS Robert. but one bad thing is, is that i’ve just recently, within the past two months, gotten back to the gym. this shoulder problem surfaced on my first few workouts. i was off previously from the gym about 6 months ago and didn’t have that problem. but on the other hand, what you’ve said makes a lot of sense, so i’m definitely going to see the doc.
