Boilerman Wants It All

Nice, I’ll check it out. I’m cutting down right now and I’m probably looking at beefcake next or maybe something else but beefcakes on the to do list.

Mid 80’s here today, so I was already toasty coming into this. Deadlift moved slow but I’m not terribly concerned.

Quick update

Traps, shoulders, hams, obliques, lower back and calves are lit up and on the verge of cramping. I somehow need to drink more water, Gatorade and liquid IV. This also means that all body parts listed are going to grow.

Not sure if I’m imagining things but I do feel like I’m on the verge of getting a cold, or potentially my seasonal allergies are breaking through the medicine… so that’s something to keep an eye on.

Last night we had a ridiculous wind storm that knocked power out at 1 AM, which meant I went out and bought ice and moved all of the important stuff from the refrigerator into a cooler. I more or less didn’t sleep at all last night. Just made a quick stop home to re-ice everything after my swearing in at the union hall.

I know it’s way too early to say this, but I think building the monolith is going to allow my strength to explode again. My wife mentioned how I look like I’m growing. I told her a few weeks ago to get ready for thicc boilerman, but she asked yesterday where he was because I just look like I’m getting more muscular. I told her he’ll be here soon.

Back off to work, conditioning later today.

Haha yeah dude. I was prepping for a big ol shot to the ego.

I can see why you’ve run these programs often… They’re difficult but do-able and produce some pretty wild results!

No conditioning today, ended up working until 9 tonight. Eating for the remainder of the evening, and the plan is now day 3 tomorrow, conditioning sat and sun.

Thanks Tim, yeah work has been nuts lately. I’m trying to not let it have too much of an effect on me while I’m not there, though.

Took these very slow and controlled, dropped them as far down as I physically could and did them beltless. Ended up being a nice set. Not incredibly difficult but got a nice pump in the quads.

Overall a decent day. It wasn’t incredibly difficult, but I’m sure I’ll be singing another tune in a week or two. I’m probably going to add some weight to shrugs next week.

4 eggs, 6 slices of bacon, 6 spoonfuls of peanut butter and 2/3 lb of ground beef and some beef jerky so far today. Going to cook up another lb of hamburgers and 8 eggs, as well as a large salad for dinner.

Let my belt out a notch and it is much better. I am considering weighing in weekly, maybe every Saturday morning.

There are three burgers under all those eggs

There, fixed that for you

Lol, I am certain you can relate to the fact that downing two lbs of food is kind of tough without some liquid assistance

Two mile walk with the dog this AM, getting some more drywall done upstairs and hitting the bike for 30 minutes at some point today before celebrating early father’s day for my dad and brother. I bought both him and my brother a nice 4.5 lb brisket each, in hopes they’ll share it with me when they cook it!!

Weighed in at 211.2

I didn’t receive my brisket, brother!

Man, I’d gift everyone on T Nation a brisket if I could! The only stipulation would be that I’d have to try every single one, haha.

I’m super excited because we’re having a rib cook off this summer. I have a massive family so 20+ grills in my parents back yard, all cooking ribs and other stuff like drumsticks and wings… I’m really hoping my brother invites his Jamaican buddy to do jerk chicken. It’s the best chicken I’ve had in my life. He used to cook it outside of a bar we would go to every weekend, too.

Oh man, that sounds like a blast! I’ve never done ribs on the grill, really very rarely touch ribs, maybe I’ll give them a shot this weekend

They’re super easy in the oven if you don’t want to go through the hassle of smoking them! Couple tips- make sure to peel the membrane off before seasoning them, keep them wrapped tight in foil in the oven until you broil them, and definitely take your time cooking then!

If you end up doing it make sure to post some pics dude

150 dips superset between OHP and short rest between sets after press was completed.

So sweaty. The squats were more difficult than they had any right to be. I’m hoping to get a bit more accustomed to these supersets before the weight gets really heavy next week. Otherwise, I’ll just add rest.

Diet has been 95% on, I kind of fell off the wagon yesterday afternoon but made up for it at dinner. Also, the piedmontese order showed up today so I’ll dig through that tonight.

Lots of good stuff came with the piedmontese order yesterday. The majority of it is steaks, some grass fed Ribeyes and actually a ton of piedmontese sirloin filet. Also some burger patties and bratwurst (@T3hPwnisher unfortunately they didn’t include any of the grass fed all beef hot dogs…)

So, I decided to give a couple of grass fed strip steaks a whirl last night

Two grass fed strip steaks, 8 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, avocado, a slice of pizza and a salad that is not pictured. That brought the total for yesterday to 1.75 lbs beef, 12 eggs.

I’m going to start cooking a dozen eggs at night, eating some of them for dinner and saving some to add to my lunch. Dinner has just gotten absolutely ridiculous to eat.

Between BBBB and BtM, I’ve been consistently putting away a stupid amount of food. I’m not going to let my foot off the gas, but holy shit I am ready for a diet break. I am taking a week long vacation at the end of August, which is right in the middle of what would be deepwater beginner. After BtM I may take a month and cut some fat, eat way less food and then get back to the 6 month gaining block and finish off deepwater beginner and intermediate in September.

No scheduled conditioning today, but it was an extremely hot day that I spent on a rooftop so naturally I got home from work and my wife and I had a squirt gun war in our yard for about 30 minutes. It was pretty intense. Lots of running, which I never do, and crouching behind picnic tables and bushes. Our neighbors probably think we’re nuts. Also, a mile walk with the dog.

Totals for today are 12 eggs and 1.5 lbs beef. Had a chuck steak salad for dinner which I ate out of a mixing bowl because it was quite large.
