That’s awesome dude, I have yet to try the armor building complexes but they look pretty intense. Definitely something I’ve been thinking of trying out as well, though.

Hope you’re doing well otherwise man!

No swings today. Last night after work I got home and passed out on the couch, didn’t wake up until late and felt like shit. Sore throat, sinuses completely filled with garbage and a massive headache… Fast forward to right now, and I just woke up in the spare bedroom after sleeping for roughly 12 hours, same deal as last night. Super sick.

For now the plan is just to push back everything one day. I am going to complete the challenge no matter what. I have about a week and a half left and then I need to figure out what comes next… I want something that’ll push me to eat a lot more, so very likely deepwater beginners.

Sorry to hear that, my dude. Hope you’re able to kick it quickly.

@tlgains @SvenG @simo74 thanks guys. I ended up sleeping almost all day again today. Something must be very, very wrong. I can’t remember the last time I’ve been sick like this.

No swings today… No problem, just pushing everything back another day. I’ve been demolishing water and trying to keep up with food while I’m awake though. Had 3 bigger meals yesterday and two so far today. Planning on eating again shortly. Weighed myself out of curiosity and I’m at 199lbs. My guess is that I’m just empty, not enough food.

I’ve been using a little bit of my time to try and catch up on some reading, specifically super squats and the keys to progress books. I’ve also continued swiping through beyond 531 trying to find a source of inspiration for what I’m going to do next. I want to do deepwater again and I want to finally do building the monolith. So… It seems as though pwns 6 month gaining block is where it’s at.

Going to be a fun ride to watch! How’re you liking the 10k swings now that you’re past the halfway point?

It’s been great. I’m pissed I’ve had to take a slight step back for a few days, but nothing ever goes as planned anyway.

I’d highly, highly recommend running the 10k challenge. I plan on keeping kb swings in for conditioning work, and I’ll definitely be running the challenge again. One change I would make is replacing dips for a different movement that is a little more full body focused… Maybe and clean and press? It’d slow the time down a bit, but definitely add to the suck.

I’ll do a full write up once I actually complete it with pics and stuff. Are you still planning on tackling it?

Interesting, I don’t have anywhere to do dips in my home gym anyway so that’s good to know!

Yep, I imagine by the time my anchor is done I’ll be ready to take a barbell break. So it will start in about 3 weeks, I imagine. Considering running up to Syracuse to buy some FB marketplace bells this weekend.

Hell yeah dude! Always happy to be your guide on this vision quest.

I hope you get that reference.

Coming into it from the 10k challenge seems awesome.

I love that song but have never seen the movie. I’ll have to check it out sometime.

My brother wrestled in school growing up and it’s always something I wish I had tried, and I think I would’ve been good at. He and I would go at it from time to time and I could definitely hold my own even though I was younger and weighed 20 lbs less.

I have a kind of crazy idea to break things up between programs/when I start feeling burnt out. I’m going to keep kb swings in as part of my conditioning work in a limited capacity during all programs, but every 6 weeks I will take 1-2 weeks and run part of the challenge with limited barbell work, like a deload. Hit some squats and deads on an “off” day, then 5 days of swings. Next week hit ohp and bench, 5 days of swings, then on to the next program.

So by the end of the 7 months I’ll have way over 10k swings and have completed 4 programs.

Absolutely dude! Its quality. Still motivating. And you definitely have wrestler in you.

Love the idea you have. I think it’s solid. Little diet break during that time might help ramp down the metabolism

That’s a great idea, I will definitely be utilizing that

Not the greatest showing, but better than a few I had last week. Considering I’m running well under 100% I’ll take this as a win

Thanks dude, I’m not up to par with all of the major players here, but I’ve been slowly getting better this past year.

Looking forward to have you along for the ride man, you always have very thoughtful and knowledgeable input!

Time: 25:50 (best time with goblet squats so far)

It felt like I was blowing my brains out of my nose between rounds… Every breath was through my mouth. Still super congested but I got it done in my best time yet for goblet squat day.

Straight swings tomorrow after work, a conditioning session Tuesday, then back for the final week.

Been better, dude… Haha. It’s ok, super congested and tired. I feel like my sinuses are completely blocked up and it’s screwing with my head. Kind of dizzy and shit but manageable. Thanks for checking in dude
