I once saw a deaf retard pulverize a frog with a stick until it was mush. He just wouldn’t stop… it was like the frog killed his family and he was getting revenge, like some mentally challenged punisher.

Lol, thanks. I have my moments. Just so you dont know I am bullshitting you. I have 5 kids. One thing about special needs, “They will never break your heart like normal kids, they will always love you”.
I have no idea what the schooling system is like in Canada. Apparently you must be sensitive if you really feel the need to defend it in an online forum to a total stranger. I do apologize if it made you cry a little onto your keyboard. Yes he could have made his point without beiing a jerkoff, but whats the fun in that? Besides you took something he said and generalized it, turning into an absolute statement. Oh and I groomed my reading comp skills in Philly(born and raised) so I do agree with your not so subtle sarcasm in reference to the Minnesota Public ed. system. They fucking suck. and so do you.
Prof can we be friends now??
Ok now I have reason to question the philly system, how can you GENERALIZE something into an ABSOLUTE statement? I didn’t exactly get too worked up defending the Canadian schooling system by the way, its alright, not great. You come across as 17, possibly 18. I’ll tell you that you win so you stop quoting me.
P.S. I never asked your opinion to begin with, I get the feeling not many people do.

Good job man, keep up the good work. I’ve got a 2 year old myself, I don’t know where I would be without her.
You know I did not even know that was my 1000 post. I have been raising kids since I was 17 and now at 36 I agree. Just keep the love, kids are the best and most heart breaking thing in life. If there is really one thing I can say to a new Dad enjoy your time with your kids, time fucking fly’s be there for every moment you will not regret it.

He’s a good looking kid. Glad to see he’s into sports. My only son is headed off to college in August. I swear he was just born.

Kid you are 19. Do you really think this gives you any advantage to Prof X, and no I am older than Prof X with the same level of education. I dont need his approval online. I have a kid your age and he is special needs. I bet he could beat you in a race. I also have another kid 19 and I bet he could beat you on the big 4 lifts. I know my lifts are better than yours. Shut up and learn.

Thanks, he has been doing special olympics for many years. Most Downs kids are obese, my wife and I work with him being healthy. I have another son in college and I swear it seems like yesterday I was there at his birth. I have 5 kids between 14-19 and I do not feel that old.

So Dshroy what is your opinion on this topic?
You should be vain…this thread is so stupid. If youre vain, that means you give a shit about yourself. If youre vain about your intelligence, that means you’ve put the time into studying etc that makes you a smart person. Its only wrong when you make fun of others for not being on your same level (physical, intellectual etc).
Exactly my thoughts. Being vain is more often a positive attribute than a negative one. If one is vain on how they look since they have slabs, then that just means to me a healthy self-esteem and overall positive outlook in life. It’s good to be proud of yourself (oh my God how startling of a statement).
Like Broncoandy pointed out earlier, vanity implies an excess of pride in ones appearance or accomplishments, but it seems as though any pride at all is considered vain. I think that it reveals something about people. Most people are ordinary and don’t accomplish much of anything worth noting. This makes them feel inferior and the only way that they have to lash out is to call it vanity. Also what we consider to be excessive will be subjective and differ from person to person.
This is an interesting topic. I’m surprised it hadn’t come up sooner, to be honest. There are a lot of good points, however, the one thing that truly brought this one down a notch was young Mackk’s attack on PX and others. If everyone and their mothers understood the gist of what PX was saying, and you are the only one taking issue with it…kinda tells you something about yourself, now doesn’t it?
This would be one of those moments when you’re at a family get-together, and one of the kids gets a lil too big for his britches in front of the grown folk, so daddy comes along, snatches him up and takes him in the back for a good ass-whoopin. Then tells the boy to leave the grown folks alone. You are that kid, Mackk.
Now…back on topic. Even in the military, stuff like this becomes an issue. Back in the day when we were able to roll our BDU sleeves up, I didn’t because my arms were too big. When some assclown with rank on his chest would question me as to why I was “out of uniform”, I would tell him why, and he would try to either clown me or smoke me. I had to get a medical document, or a “profile” to keep people like that from fucking with me. How sad is that?
Even now, we still have issues with the supposed height and weight standards. If you are over 200 pounds and less than 6 feet tall, you are going to have issues. Heaven help you if you train, because then the peanut gallery comes out with the tape measure! I’ve seen many a BB’ers who put the average soldier to shame get put out for not passing the infamous tape test. Meanwhile you have fatties and such that don’t have to get taped because their fat doesn’t weigh as much as our muscle. Ass-backwards is just one way of putting it.
I’ve gotten into the habit of feeling out the muscle(s) that I’m working if I have a free hand. For example, if I’m doing db preacher curls, I’ll ‘feel out’ my biceps with my free hand. I’m either looking at it directly or in the mirror.
I’m trying to reinforce to my brain that connection (cliche’ mind/muscle). I know that people must think that I’m just vanely admiring my muscle for the sake of it.
I think people who aren’t ‘body aware’ (having a good connection/control with/of body) can understand just how deep ‘listening to your body’ can go. I can literally feel the difference when I do such things.
Not that I give a rat-fuck about what people think…

lol yeah people probably think you’re vain for doing this. I roll up my t-shirt sleeves if I’m not wearing a tank top when training arms to reinforce the connection. I wouldn’t be surprised if people thought the same of me…
As a fellow gym goer, here’s my opinion Steely and theraj…if you are pushing heavy weights (and I know that you are) you can touch your muscles, roll your shirt sleeves, look in the mirror for form…the only time I give anyone a sideways glance is if they are using LIGHT weights (i.e. less than I’m using), grunting, using poor form and gazing lovingly at themselves in the mirror. If I saw either of you in the gym I’d just be glad there was a straight guy with actual muscles in my gym (for a change)
